When does Kena: Scars of Kosmora come out?
Kena: Scars of Kosmora is scheduled for release in 2027. The game was first announced in February 2026 with a 2026 window; Ember Lab revised that timing in an October 1, 2026 update, which says it will launch in 2027. The official US PlayStation game page lists the date as “to be determined,” so there is no confirmed day or month yet.

What kind of game is Kena: Scars of Kosmora?
Ember Lab describes the sequel as a character-focused, linear action-adventure with a broader and deeper scope than Kena: Bridge of Spirits, plus optional exploration away from the main path. The February announcement introduced the game at PlayStation’s State of Play; the October overview added more about its setting and systems.

A new journey for Kena
Kena is now an older Spirit Guide who travels to the island of Kosmora to learn about her past and future. Her childhood friend Orfio believes the island may hold answers for both of them. Kosmora has four interconnected cultures, each associated with an element, and a cataclysm in its history destroyed one of them.
Alchemy, companions, and temples
A powerful spirit fractures Kena’s staff, which had also been keeping her alive. To continue, she must learn a forgotten form of Spirit Guiding that uses alchemy to manipulate elements. Elemental Spirit Companions grow alongside Kena and unlock powers as her bond with them develops. Ember Lab also describes Alchemystic temples as dungeon experiences.

A canine companion
The October overview introduces a crystalline canine companion that serves as a mount and helps with combat and puzzles. These details describe the developer’s announced design; they are not independently verified gameplay findings.
