There is no confirmed KFConsole price or pre-order window in the announcement and contemporaneous reports cited here. KFC Gaming and Cooler Master officially revealed the bucket-shaped gaming PC on December 22, 2020, but that reveal did not establish a retail launch. The headline-making 4K performance figures were claims, not independently tested results, and KFC did not announce a dedicated controller.
How much does the KFConsole cost, and can you pre-order one?
No consumer price or pre-order window was provided in KFC’s December 2020 announcement or in contemporaneous reporting from the reveal. Those sources also do not establish a retail listing or confirmed consumer release. The available evidence supports describing the KFConsole as an officially announced project, not as a product that was available to buy.
KFC’s June 2020 teaser had named December 11, 2020 as a planned release date and said it would be available at retailers nationwide. That was a stated plan, not proof that the console reached stores. Later coverage of the official reveal still reported no price or release date. The cited sources do not settle the KFConsole’s present-day retail status, so they cannot establish that it was never sold.
What is the KFConsole?
KFC Gaming announced the KFConsole in partnership with Cooler Master on December 22, 2020. Its defining design feature was a bucket-shaped custom case with a built-in chamber intended to keep food warm using heat from the computer. KFC described a cooling setup that directs system heat around that chamber. KFC’s announcement does not provide measured warming results or food-safety validation; the chamber should be understood as part of the announced concept, not as a verified food appliance.

| December 2020 reveal coverage | 4K at 240 frames per second and two 1 TB Seagate BarraCuda SSDs. | Reported claims and component details, not independent testing or a final published retail specification. Forbes, December 23, 2020 |
| December 2020 reveal coverage | Intel NUC 9 Compute Element, ASUS graphics card, and a “hot swappable” GPU. | Details reported by the Lexington Herald-Leader; no final consumer configuration or hands-on performance test is established. Lexington Herald-Leader |
The 4K/120 fps figure belongs to the June teaser; the 4K/240 fps figure was reported after the December reveal. Neither number is evidence that games were independently tested at that resolution and frame rate on a retail KFConsole.
