Killzone has returned to Helldivers 2 as crossover content, not as a newly announced standalone game. Sony announced the Killzone items’ return as a permanent Legendary Warbond, scheduled for December 18, 2025, at an unlock cost of 1,500 Super Credits. The announcement describes its contents and price, but does not establish current availability on every platform as of October 8, 2026.
What “Killzone is coming back” means
The news is about Killzone-themed gear inside Helldivers 2. Neither Arrowhead’s original crossover announcement nor Sony’s return announcement confirms a new standalone Killzone game.

The crossover first appeared in December 2024 as premium Superstore content. Arrowhead called it Helldivers 2’s first official crossover and said crossovers would be used only when they made sense for the game. The initial offering was split across two Superstore pages, each planned to remain for five days as a temporary rotation test; the second page was due December 23. On December 17, 2025, Sony Interactive Entertainment Senior Copywriter Dominic Wiggan announced that the items would return as a Legendary Warbond, available December 18. Unlike the original rotating pages, the return was described as permanent. The December 17, 2025 Xbox Wire announcement

The 1,500-Super-Credit figure applies to the announced Legendary Warbond; it should not be treated as the price of the earlier Superstore pages. Sony said Super Credits may be earned in game or purchased separately. The Warbond requires the base game and game progression, and it cannot be claimed with a Premium Warbond token. Sony’s announcement says Acclimated provides 50% resistance to fire, gas, acid, and electrical damage. That is the publisher’s stated effect, not an independently verified gameplay test. Sony’s item list and passive description

Is it available now?
The 2025 announcement said the Legendary Warbond would be available starting December 18, 2025, and called its return permanent. That wording supports the announced permanence of the return; it does not by itself confirm that the Warbond is currently live or accessible on every supported platform on October 8, 2026. Check the in-game Warbond and Superstore listings for the platform you play before relying on availability.
