Third-party maps can help you find quests, services, fast-travel points and collectibles, but their pins do not unlock locations or update Henry’s in-game discoveries. Free exploration opens after you progress through the opening and reach the point where Wedding Crashers becomes available; some places, including Trosky Castle, remain gated by story progress.
Where to find a complete Trosky map
KCD2.org’s Trosky map embeds a third-party MapGenie interactive map covering the full region. It has search and filters available without an account. To make the map easier to read, hide all pins first, then switch on only the category you need. Its progress tracker requires a login and is separate from Henry’s discovery state in the game.
Other useful options include Gamepressure’s Trosky map and Gamer Guides’ KCD2 maps. Their category coverage and controls differ; the available guides do not establish that one map is exhaustive or officially endorsed. MapGenie’s contributor-maintained pins can change, so treat marker totals as live map data rather than fixed game-wide counts. The KCD2.org page is dated September 2, 2026; Gamepressure lists October 15, 2025, and Gamer Guides displays February 4, 2025.
What the map covers—and what it does not
Trosky is the first major region in the game, not just the area around Trosky Castle. Kuttenberg is a separate region with its own map. Common map landmarks include Troskowitz, Trosky Castle, Tachov, Zhelejov, Vidlak Pond, Rocktower Pond, Semine, Nebakov Fortress, the Nomads’ Camp and Apollonia.

Depending on the map and its filters, you can look for:
- Quests, tasks and NPCs
- Fast-travel points and services such as merchants, blacksmiths, inns, horse traders, scribes, bathhouses, arenas and archery ranges
- Exploration markers such as graves, shrines, caves, hunting areas and points of interest
- Collectibles, skill books, treasure maps and treasure chests
For trip planning, show fast-travel points and services. For an objective, narrow the view to its quest, task or NPC markers. For exploration, enable only the relevant collectible or location categories; a dense spread of chest and nest pins can hide roads. Read the marker’s note and check your current quest state before taking a long detour.
When Trosky opens up for exploration
The opening section is more linear than the rest of Trosky. PowerPyx says the world becomes freely accessible after starting Wedding Crashers; Gamepressure describes exploration opening after Laboratores, when Wedding Crashers becomes available. In practical terms, progress through the opening until you reach that quest rather than expecting unrestricted exploration as soon as you arrive in the region. Trosky Castle itself requires further story progress before meaningful access.
A third-party map can show a place before Henry can reach it. A pin marks a reported location, not permission to enter: the site may be locked, private, at another elevation, or gated behind a quest. Follow the journal and in-game warnings rather than forcing entry because a map displays a marker.
Fast travel: map pins versus in-game access
An external map’s fast-travel icon does not unlock that destination in your game. In normal mode, you must first discover a destination in-game; travel then takes in-game time and can involve random encounters. PowerPyx also notes that Henry must be outside, not indoors, to fast travel. The current KCD2.org map guide says ordinary fast travel is disabled in Hardcore mode.
To orient yourself, use hubs such as Troskowitz, Tachov, Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn, Semine and the Nomads’ Camp. KCD2.org suggests these as a practical initial circuit, with the outer region explored as quests require; it is a suggested route, not a required path.

Treasure maps and the spade
Two of the four main named treasure maps are in Trosky; the other two are in Kuttenberg, according to PC Gamer’s guide, updated July 15, 2026. The first named treasure is in a cave in Apollonia and its chest requires the Key from below Trosky. Gamepressure notes that digging up buried treasure and graves requires a spade, which can be purchased or found in the game. The spade is an in-game item, not a real-world tool you need to buy.
Does the interactive map save your discoveries?
Not in Henry’s game. KCD2.org’s web tracker is a separate, login-based feature; changing its progress does not update the in-game map or discovery state. Use the game’s own map and journal to track what Henry has found and what his current objectives allow.
