To complete Johnny the Gob in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, finish The Jaunt, Canker, and Handsome Charlie, then speak to Gules at Semine. Follow the task marker to the bandit camp near Rocktower Pond. You can kill Johnny and take his shield, or make him surrender and let him leave with the shield as proof.

Complete The Jaunt, Canker, and Handsome Charlie first. After Handsome Charlie, Gules may need some in-game time before he offers the task; walkthroughs describe the wait differently, so pass time and check back at Semine if it is not available yet.

There is a story-progression risk: PowerPyx reports that The Jaunt must be completed before entering the Wedding Crashers wedding sequence, and warns against reaching the Semine raid outcome in Necessary Evil. Gamer Guides likewise notes that Gules must survive The Jaunt. These are guide-reported missability conditions, so speak to Gules and take the task before advancing those story events if you want to be safe. PowerPyx’s walkthrough and Gamer Guides’ walkthrough describe the prerequisites and warnings.
How to find Johnny’s camp
- Accept Johnny the Gob from Gules at Semine.
- Travel to the task marker in Trosky and use Rocktower Pond as your landmark. The camp is described as being near the pond, north of it in one walkthrough; follow the marker for the final approach.
How to spare Johnny and get his shield
Gules asks Henry to spare Johnny if possible. The walkthrough approach is to deal with the other bandits first, then fight Johnny until he yields. Once he surrenders, speak to him and choose the dialogue option that lets him go. PowerPyx reports that Johnny hands Henry his shield as proof; this combat guidance comes from published walkthroughs, not firsthand testing.

Should you spare or kill Johnny?

Choose the surrender route if you want to honor Gules’s request and hear Johnny’s surrender conversation. The kill route still provides a reported way to obtain the shield, but through looting instead.
