The late-2027 window, four announced platform families, and the return of a major trailer reveal give fans more to work with than a vague sign of continued development. The *Coco*-inspired setting and playable Mickey, Donald, and Goofy also provide concrete story and character details. Disney’s D23 coverage says the Kingdom Hearts franchise has reached more than 39 million units worldwide; Disney does not specify a measurement date or how that total is categorized. The Walt Disney Company’s D23 coverage gives the figure.
