Steam received three collections spanning the Dark Seeker Saga, including Kingdom Hearts III with its Re Mind DLC.
When did Kingdom Hearts come to Steam?
Square Enix announced the Steam release on May 22, 2024, and confirmed the launch on June 13, 2024. The “after three years” interval is rounded: it runs from the series’ March 2021 PC debut on the Epic Games Store to the June 2024 Steam launch, not three years to the day. Square Enix’s announcement and its launch press release document those dates.

Which Kingdom Hearts games and collections are on Steam?
Square Enix described the three collections as covering the Dark Seeker Saga, from the original Kingdom Hearts through Kingdom Hearts III and Re Mind. The complete set is also sold as the KINGDOM HEARTS INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE bundle. Steam lists the bundle’s three collections as individually purchasable items as well.
| Steam collection | What it covers |
|---|---|
| KINGDOM HEARTS HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX | The first major collection, covering earlier entries in the saga. |
| KINGDOM HEARTS HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue | The second major collection, continuing the saga’s story coverage. |
| KINGDOM HEARTS III + Re Mind (DLC) | Kingdom Hearts III and its Re Mind DLC, bringing the collection lineup through the saga’s third mainline game. |
| KINGDOM HEARTS INTEGRUM MASTERPIECE bundle | All three collections; Steam says its items may also be purchased individually. |
The bundle is the straightforward way to get all three collections together. If you only want a particular part of the series, the individual listings let you choose without buying the complete set. Prices and discounts vary by region and date; Square Enix’s launch-period discount was limited-time and should not be taken as a current price.

Can you play Kingdom Hearts on Steam Deck?
Yes, according to Square Enix’s June 13, 2024 launch statement: the collections could be played on PC and on-the-go on Steam Deck devices. That is the publisher’s statement at launch; it is not a guarantee of current compatibility status, performance, battery life, or settings on every Steam Deck model.
What are the PC requirements?
Requirements vary by collection. Steam’s listed minimum requirements for Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind and HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX differ in memory and storage:
Rank #2
- Electronically controlled card shufflling and dealing
- Automatic scoring
- 3 virtual opponents
- Easy to follow icons and auto light
| Collection | Windows version | Minimum RAM | Minimum storage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind | Windows 10 64-bit, version 1909 or later | 8 GB | 75 GB |
| HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX | Windows 10 64-bit, version 1909 or later | 4 GB | 60 GB |
These are minimum figures, not a complete comparison of every collection or a performance guarantee. Check the Steam page for the specific collection you plan to install, since requirements differ and store information can change. Steam’s Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind listing also identifies it as single-player and lists Steam Achievements and Steam Cloud support. For HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, the published Steam technical data is available through Steam Support.

The Steam launch ended a roughly three-year period in which the series’ PC release was on the Epic Games Store. It also brought the three collections to another PC storefront, with the bundle offering a single purchase containing all three. Square Enix’s 2024 figures provide period context: its June 13 release said Kingdom Hearts III had sold more than five million units globally since its 2019 launch, which the company called the series’ fastest-selling title at that time. A June 14, 2024 Square Enix Asia post reported more than 35 million units shipped worldwide for the franchise; that is a dated publisher snapshot, not a current sales total. The series began in 2002, and Square Enix named Tetsuya Nomura as its director in the Steam announcement.
