Three Kingdom Hearts collections launched on Steam on June 13, 2024: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC. The release brought a substantial part of the series to PC, but it was not every Kingdom Hearts game or experience.
Which Kingdom Hearts collections launched on Steam?
Square Enix announced the Steam release on June 13, 2024, and the Steam franchise listing gives the same date. The publisher’s 2024 annual report instead lists June 14; the cited materials do not explain the one-day difference. Square Enix’s announcement and the Steam franchise listing identify three releases:

- Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories — playable game.
- Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix — playable game.
- Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days — HD cutscene compilation.
- Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix — playable game.
- Kingdom Hearts Re:coded — HD cutscene compilation.
That distinction matters if you expect to play every named entry: the 358/2 Days and Re:coded items provide cutscenes, not full game ports in this collection. Steam’s launch announcement lists the six entries and identifies the two compilations.

Can you play the Steam releases on Steam Deck?
Yes, in the launch announcement Square Enix said all three collections could be played on PC and on Steam Deck. This establishes the publisher’s launch-era statement about portable play; it does not establish a current Steam Deck compatibility rating or performance level.
