Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] is a substantial PS5 starting point, bundling three existing packages: HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III with its Re Mind DLC. It is not a set of every franchise release, and not every story component in the bundle is playable. Square Enix announced an October 8, 2026 release; the physical edition requires an internet connection to download additional data.
What’s included in Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III]?
The collection brings together three previously released packages. Square Enix’s official contents list distinguishes playable games from video presentations, so the number of story components should not be mistaken for the number of playable titles.
| Package | Included content | Playable games or video? |
|---|---|---|
| Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX | Kingdom Hearts Final Mix; Re:Chain of Memories; Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix; Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days; Birth by Sleep Final Mix; Re:coded | The first, second, third and fifth entries are games. 358/2 Days and Re:coded are HD cutscene compilations, not playable game versions. |
| Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue | Dream Drop Distance HD; Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover; 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A fragmentary passage – | Dream Drop Distance HD and 0.2 Birth by Sleep are games; χ Back Cover is a movie. |
| Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind | Kingdom Hearts III and the Re Mind DLC chapter | Kingdom Hearts III is the base game; Re Mind is additional DLC content. |
That makes the bundle a broad route through major entries and story material, but it does not turn every component into something you play. Square Enix’s collection page and June 10, 2026 announcement provide the official contents and platform details.
Is it a good starting point for newcomers?
For someone who wants a large portion of the series together on PS5, this is a convenient entry point: it combines the two earlier multi-game collections with Kingdom Hearts III and Re Mind. The package also includes two cutscene compilations and a movie, which provide story material but are not substitutes for playable versions of those titles.

It is best described as an extensive, nearly all-in-one bundle—not proof that every Kingdom Hearts game or release is included. The publisher’s contents list establishes what this package contains, not a complete franchise catalogue. Square Enix’s 2025 European release reported that the series had shipped over 38 million units worldwide; that is the publisher’s franchise-wide figure, not sales of this collection.
How does it compare with the PS4 All-In-One Package?
They are different products, not interchangeable names for the same bundle. Square Enix announced the older European PS4 All-In-One Package in April 2025 as a physical 10-title package that includes Kingdom Hearts III. The 2026 Collection [I~III] is a new collection whose listed contents explicitly include Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC. The earlier package’s announcement does not establish its current price or availability.
When comparing them, check the exact platform and contents, whether listed story entries are games or videos, the current price in your local store, and whether you need a physical edition. The official product details are in Square Enix’s 2025 European announcement and its 2026 collection announcement.

Square Enix says the physical version requires an internet connection to download additional data.
