Kirby Air Riders has 27 courses: 18 in Air Ride and nine in Top Ride. Eight courses in each mode are available from the start. The remaining Air Ride tracks require race wins or specific on-course challenges; the only locked Top Ride track, Nova, unlocks after 15 Top Ride race wins.
Air Ride course unlocks
These eight Air Ride courses are available from the start: Floria Fields, Waveflow Waters, Airtopia Ruins, Crystalline Fissure, Steamgust Forge, Cavernous Corners, Cyberion Highway, and Mount Amberfalls. Complete the following challenges to unlock the other ten.

Course names in the table use Nintendo’s official spellings, including Fantasy Meadows and Mount Amberfalls. The challenge descriptions retain the singular forms Fantasy Meadow and Mount Amberfall, which may help when matching the game’s checklist. Nintendo’s official Air Ride page identifies these nine as returning courses from Kirby Air Ride.

Flower, Flow, Air, Crystal, Steam, Cave, Cyber, and Mountain are available from the start. Win 15 Top Ride races to unlock Nova. Top Ride is a top-down racing mode, and its courses take inspiration from Air Ride locations; Flower reflects Floria Fields, while Nova reflects Nebula Belt.

How to tackle the challenges
- Separate cumulative wins from single-race tasks. Galactic Nova and Top Ride’s Nova require 15 wins in their respective modes. Most other locked Air Ride courses call for a specific action on a named track.
- Choose the named course and target the listed objective. Ordinary race completion may not satisfy a task such as breaking objects, avoiding Golems or molten steel, or passing through ancient rings.
- Check the in-game checklist for progress. The published unlock guide does not specify a difficulty, local or online mode, or minimum human-player count for the win requirements, so do not assume a particular restriction.
If a checklist reward or count does not register
Nintendo Support’s update notes document fixes to checklist reward and counting behavior, including the Top Ride task “Win on all courses.” If a task appears complete but its progress or reward does not register, update the game, then check the relevant checklist entry again. The notes also cover other course and checklist fixes, so the game version can matter when troubleshooting.
