The notice, reproduced in an English-language report by The Outerhaven, listed several specific problems but did not promise a performance fix. That was the status reported at the time, not confirmation of the game’s current patch status.
What Konami said about the patch
The Outerhaven’s August 27, 2025 report reproduced an English rendering of a notice from Konami’s Metal Gear account. The original post was in Japanese. In the rendering, Konami said: “Currently, we have received multiple reports of bugs in METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER.” It added: “We are investigating the causes of these issues and are currently working on a patch to address them.” The notice said Konami would make a further announcement when preparations were complete.

Konami did not give a patch version or release date, or say which platform would receive an update first. “Multiple” describes the reports without giving a count.
Which bugs were mentioned?
The six examples below are from The Outerhaven’s reproduction of the notice; they describe problems reported in particular situations, not necessarily bugs affecting every player.

Did Konami promise a performance fix?
No. The reproduced notice discussed bugs and did not mention overall performance or promise performance improvements. The Outerhaven raised performance as a possibility, but that was the report’s inference—not a commitment from Konami. The notice does not establish that performance was among the issues targeted by the patch.

The announcement establishes that a patch was in development as of August 27, 2025. The sources cited here do not establish whether a later update resolved all six examples, so it would be inaccurate to describe them as either still present or fixed without a current Konami update notice.

Konami describes Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater as a remake of 2004’s Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, available for PlayStation 5, PC (Steam), and Xbox Series X|S on its official product page. A later company announcement reported two million global units sold across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam on March 10, 2026. That sales milestone does not establish patch quality or player sentiment; see Konami’s announcement.
