Lacerating Crossed-Tree is a Shadow of the Erdtree talisman that boosts running attacks. To get it, side with Needle Knight Leda at the Shadow Keep and help her defeat Hornsent; helping Hornsent instead gives a different reward, Swift Slash Ash of War.
What Lacerating Crossed-Tree does
The talisman’s in-game description says it “Enhances dash attacks.” Eldenpedia transcribes the full description as: “Handicraft depicting a golden crossed-tree. One of the items conferred to the Needle Knights. Enhances dash attacks. Long ago, the Needle Knights were in service of Miquella, but now they are no more. Save for one.” Eldenpedia’s item reference reports a 15% increase to running light and heavy attack power, reduced to 7.5% against other players. Those figures are from a secondary wiki, not an official publisher or patch source.
It is specifically for running attacks. Attacks made after rolling or backstepping are associated with the separate Retaliatory Crossed-Tree talisman; Game8’s DLC talisman guide distinguishes the two.
How to get Lacerating Crossed-Tree
You need Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree to obtain the talisman, according to Game8’s location guide. The cited route is to help Leda against Hornsent, then return to Leda at Highroad Cross.

- Reach the encounter at Shadow Keep and choose the red summon sign that lets you assist Leda against Hornsent.
- After the fight, return to Highroad Cross and speak with Leda to receive Lacerating Crossed-Tree.

Choose between Leda’s and Hornsent’s rewards
The Shadow Keep summon-sign choice determines which side you assist and which reward you pursue. The item reference reports these outcomes:

Choose Leda if running attacks are a regular part of your offense and you want a talisman dedicated to them. Choose Hornsent if Swift Slash is the priority for your weapon setup. The reported percentage bonus may help estimate the talisman’s value, but it comes from Eldenpedia rather than official patch documentation, and gameplay behavior can be affected by updates.
