What the June 2025 leak report claimed
Insider Gaming published “Leaked Battlefield 6 Factions Reveal ‘Back to Basics’ Operators” on June 24, 2025. It reported that images from Battlefield Labs playtests showed outfits resembling conventional modern soldiers. An embedded post in the report attributed these names and unit labels to the images:

These are claims from leak reporting, not faction names confirmed in an EA announcement. “Back to basics” was the report’s characterization of the outfits; it should not be read as confirmation of a policy covering all released-game operators or cosmetics. That campaign framing provides official story context, but it does not confirm or disprove the three names in the leak report. Campaign descriptions do not necessarily document every multiplayer faction or cosmetic, so the absence of those names from the campaign page is not evidence that they were absent from multiplayer.
Did these factions appear in released Battlefield 6?
The reviewed official pages do not establish whether United Albion, Coyote Squad, or the Desert Locusts—or the outfits attributed to them—appeared in released multiplayer. Treat their appearance and status as unresolved rather than as a confirmed roster. The report is dated June 24, 2025, and its claims concern alleged playtest images; EA’s materials describe campaign characters and conflict. Those sources have different authority and scope.
