When was LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight announced?
LEGO and Warner Bros. Games revealed the game during Gamescom Opening Night Live in August 2025. The announcement described an open-world action-adventure following Bruce Wayne’s journey to become Gotham City’s hero. Its original story draws on Batman’s history in films, television, comic books and games, combining DC lore with TT Games’ LEGO humor. LEGO’s announcement and the Gamescom reveal introduced the project from Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, DC and the LEGO Group. TT Games is the developer; Warner Bros. Games is the publisher.

Warner Bros. Games Support lists LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight as available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. The publisher announced a Nintendo Switch 2 version for September 18, 2026, a date that has passed as of October 8, 2026. Check the current Nintendo store or publisher listing to confirm whether that version is available in your region.

Can you play in co-op?
Yes. WB Games Support confirms two-player local cooperative play, so you can play solo or share a game locally with a friend or family member. The cited FAQ does not confirm online co-op; do not assume that a second player can join over the internet.

The Legacy Collection includes suits, vehicles and Batcave items inspired by the Batman: Arkham games and the Batman Beyond television series, as well as a party-music-themed pack.
