Epic also said a second NINJAGO update would arrive in 2026, but its December 2025 announcement gave no specific date.
What the NINJAGO update added
Epic described NINJAGO: Rise of the Ninja as an adventure on NINJAGO Island. Players explore, use elemental abilities and Spinjitzu, and fight invading monsters. Epic’s announcement invited players to “Hone your skills as a Ninja and defend NINJAGO® Island from invading monsters!”

The release date was December 11, 2025. Epic’s release 39.10 developer notes also identify LEGO NINJAGO content, including a starter island template and themed assets, as part of that release.
When is the second NINJAGO update?
Epic’s December 9, 2025 announcement said the story would continue in a second NINJAGO update in 2026. It did not name a release date. That announcement alone therefore cannot answer exactly when the next part begins, and it should not be treated as confirmation of a particular day.

Do you need the NINJAGO LEGO Pass?
No. Epic described the pass as an optional purchase and said buying the NINJAGO LEGO Pass auto-unlocks the Kai Outfit. The announcement did not say the island adventure itself required the pass.
Epic also named Zane, Jay and Cole Outfits as available in the Shop. Their availability was stated in the original announcement; it does not establish that any of them are currently in rotation.
