LEGO Sanrio products featuring Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters are planned to arrive from 2027. LEGO and Sanrio announced a multi-year partnership on 6 October 2026, but have not yet revealed individual sets, prices, piece counts or a specific release date.
What LEGO and Sanrio have announced
The LEGO Group and Sanrio say their multi-year partnership will bring Hello Kitty and Friends and their universe into LEGO brick form for the first time. Sanrio calls the planned products “LEGO Sanrio”; LEGO describes the line as an upcoming adventure starting in 2027. Sanrio’s announcement is dated 6 October 2026, and LEGO’s official Sanrio page also confirms the 2027 start year.
The announcement is for a product line, not a full set reveal. The official material names Hello Kitty and refers more broadly to other Sanrio characters, but does not identify a set assortment or confirm which additional characters will appear.
When will LEGO Hello Kitty sets be released?
Products are planned from 2027, but an exact launch date has not been announced. LEGO’s FAQ says the timing remains unspecified and invites fans to follow its page for monthly hints. That does not establish a January launch, a particular season, or when products will be available in any specific country.

Have there been LEGO Sanrio sets before?
LEGO’s FAQ says there have not previously been LEGO Sanrio sets. The 2027 products are therefore presented by the companies as the first LEGO sets featuring Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters.
Why the partnership is notable
Hello Kitty was introduced in 1974, according to Sanrio. The company says approximately 50,000 types of Hello Kitty merchandise are sold annually in more than 130 countries and regions; that is Sanrio’s own reported figure, not an independently audited count. Sanrio’s announcement also notes that the LEGO Group was founded in 1932 in Billund, Denmark.
