What is LEGO Horizon Adventures?
LEGO Horizon Adventures is an action-adventure game co-developed by Guerrilla and Studio Gobo. Its story is inspired by Horizon Zero Dawn, recasting the setting as a world built from LEGO bricks. The LEGO Group’s announcement describes Aloy being found as a baby and raised by Rost before setting out to discover her destiny. She is guided by a hologram of Elisabet and faces Helis and his sunworshippers. The LEGO Group’s June 7, 2024 announcement introduced the game at Summer Game Fest.

When did LEGO Horizon Adventures come out?
The announcement initially gave a Holiday 2024 release window. Guerrilla’s later release notice specified November 14, 2024. Guerrilla’s September 23, 2024 release announcement named that date and outlined the available editions and platforms.
What platforms is LEGO Horizon Adventures on?
The confirmed platforms are PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The initial announcement referred more generally to PlayStation, PC, and Nintendo Switch; the later release notice specifies PS5. Guerrilla says a PlayStation Network account is required to play the PC version. The cited announcements do not establish support for other consoles.

How do co-op and customization work?
The LEGO Group announced that the game can be played solo or with one other player in couch or online co-op, without split screen. Guerrilla’s launch description also lists difficulty options from Story Mode to Very Hard, character customization, and the ability to decorate Mother’s Heart village. These are features described by the developers and publisher, not independent performance or gameplay findings. Guerrilla’s launch post provides the additional feature details.
What does the LEGO style change?
In a PlayStation developer feature, the team explained that it built the visual world from real LEGO bricks and adapted machines, landscapes, and locations to fit that style. The developers framed the shift as a way to make the serious themes and setting of Horizon playful without abandoning the story’s focus on discovery, family, and belonging.

Studio Gobo Senior Producer Kat Woolley described the intended tone as adding “that element of funny, of light-hearted, of silly, of play.” Guerrilla Design Director Stephane Varrault said the story continues to explore characters seeking family, a home, and connections. These are the creators’ descriptions of their aims, not evidence of general critical or player reception.
