A contemporaneous Gizmochina report said it would use LPDDR5X Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 storage, up from the Gen 3’s LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0. Lenovo’s later China product record lists a 12GB RAM, 256GB storage model; it does not specify the memory or storage technologies.
What RAM and storage upgrades were reported?
Gizmochina’s May 6, 2025 report said Lenovo had confirmed LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for the Y700 Gen 4. The report compared those standards with the previous generation’s LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. Those are technology-generation comparisons, not proof of a particular real-world gaming or loading-time improvement.
Lenovo’s official 2025 Y700 product record lists a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration, but does not name its memory or storage standards. So LPDDR5X Ultra and UFS 4.1 are best treated as the specifications reported at the time, not as details independently confirmed by the later Lenovo listing or established for every regional configuration.

The Gen 3 information comes from Lenovo’s global Legion Tab announcement at CES 2025, while the Gen 4 configuration and core specifications come from a China product record. Regional Y700 and Legion Tab versions should not be assumed to match in every feature.

What Lenovo’s later product record confirms
Lenovo’s China product page identifies the 2025 Y700 as an 8.8-inch Android gaming tablet with a third-generation Snapdragon 8 processor, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage, a 2560 × 1600 display running at 165Hz, and a 6550mAh battery. The entry is dated May 28, 2026, so it confirms a product and listed configuration after the teaser; it should not be read as the original launch announcement.
That page gives a reference price of ¥2,699. Lenovo warns that actual prices can vary with promotions and discounts. This is a China-market reference price in a 2026 product record—not the 2025 launch price or an international price.

Is this the Snapdragon 8 Elite model?
The supplied title’s Snapdragon 8 Elite wording does not match Lenovo’s later 2025 product record, which specifies a third-generation Snapdragon 8 processor. Keep the 2025 Y700 Gen 4 separate from Lenovo’s later Legion Tab Gen 5: Lenovo’s Gen 5 listing names Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a different processor designation. A 2026 GamesRadar report also discussed possible Gen 5 RAM and storage configurations, but those later-generation details do not establish the Gen 4’s specifications.

LPDDR5X Ultra and UFS 4.1 indicate newer memory and storage standards than the Gen 3’s LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0, as described in the contemporaneous report. Without comparable tests, however, the specifications alone do not establish how much faster games load, how performance changes during play, or whether the difference is noticeable in everyday use. The reported standards also do not establish that every retail version uses the same components.
