Little Kitty, Big City has 39 achievements on Steam. The list covers the journey home, quests, collecting, and playful interactions around the city. That count is specific to Steam: the available sources do not establish that Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch use identical lists.

How to approach completion
The list mixes story progress with exploration, collectibles, and repeatable interactions. Steam identifies the relevant conditions for most of these tasks, but it does not provide a complete optimal route. A practical way to organize a playthrough is to work through the story while noting nearby To-Do items and collectibles, then use free exploration to finish remaining count-based tasks.
Story and To-Do progress
Home Sweet Home! is earned by finding your way home. Neighborhood Hero requires completing every item on the To-Do list, a separate completion target. A secondary Xbox guide reports that the main story can be completed while free roam remains available; that is Xbox guide context, not a verified guarantee for every platform.

Collectibles and exploration
Several achievements call for collecting or finding things: all ducklings, all yummy fish, 200 Shinies, all hats, and all cozy nap spots. Others point to city exploration, including meeting every animal, opening Tanuki’s portals, investigating trash cans, and busting the old birds’ nests. Check your in-game progress and the achievement tracker for the remaining task rather than assuming that finishing the story completes these objectives.
Repeatable interactions
Some objectives are counters or specific interactions: smash 100 objects, make 20 humans stumble, catch and release 20 birds, get petted 10 times, take 20 photos, recycle 100 items, or get photographed 20 times. Let these build up during ordinary exploration where possible; for anything still incomplete, use the exact condition shown in the list as your checklist.

What about Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch?
The Steam inventory verifies 39 achievements for the Steam edition. A secondary XboxAchievements guide reports 39 Xbox achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore and 24 quests, but those figures are Xbox-specific guide information, not evidence of a universal trophy list. The guide also distinguishes quest entries from achievement-related To-Do tasks.
No verified platform-by-platform comparison is available here for PlayStation or Nintendo Switch, and Steam’s count should not be presented as their trophy count. On console, consult that platform’s current achievement or trophy interface for the exact names, count, and any hidden unlock descriptions.

- BUILDS PLANNING & SEQUENTIAL THINKING — Cats & Boxes develops five STEM-connected cognitive skills with every puzzle: planning, logic, spatial insight, problem solving and concentration. Because you move the box pieces one at a time — and each must fit back on the board before the next move — you have to think several moves ahead and picture the whole sequence, the multi-step reasoning that underpins mathematics, coding and logical thinking. It's so much fun to play, you'll forget you're building real skills.
- DESIGNED FOR AGES 7 TO ADULT — 60 CHALLENGES TO WIZARD LEVEL — Starter challenges solve in just a few moves; Wizard challenges make you cover a cat with a box only to move it again later, and genuinely test adults. Early challenges welcome a 7-year-old; the hardest push seasoned puzzlers. One game the whole family puzzles through together, each at their own level.
- MOVE THE BOXES, HIDE THE CATS — These cats are dying to get into a box! Choose a challenge and place the cats and box pieces on the board as shown. Then move the box pieces around — one at a time, each fitting back onto the board before you move the next — until every cat is tucked snugly inside a cardboard box. Plan the order carefully, because you'll often need to cover one cat, then shift that box later. One solution every time.
- THE PERFECT TRAVEL BRAIN GAME FOR EVERY GENERATION — Everything packs into the compact case with a lid — just close it and go. It's ideal for planes, road trips, restaurants and grandparents' houses, with no loose pieces to lose. The same puzzle that builds a child's planning gives adults a satisfying screen-free challenge and offers older adults an engaging mental workout that helps keep the mind sharp and active — a purr-fect, thoughtful gift across generations.
- AWARD-WINNING BELGIAN DESIGN — Cats & Boxes comes from Raf Peeters, one of SmartGames' most celebrated designers, who set out to create something complex from very simple rules. From SmartGames, the worldwide leader in multi-level logic games, with 30+ years of award-winning design from Belgium, trusted by families, educators and puzzle lovers in 80+ countries. Portable case included, plus a free companion app with hints for the trickiest challenges.
Which Steam conditions are not shown?
Steam’s retrieved achievement list did not render unlock descriptions for What Sweet Music, No Parking!, Killer Kitty, Big Kitty, Little City, Fruit Fall, Rub-A-Dub-Dub!, or Splish!. Their titles alone are not enough to establish what action unlocks them. Check the current in-game or platform achievement interface, or a reliable guide with a confirmed condition, before attempting a specific method.
