Chapter 1 — The Wilderness
Fur Hat
The Fur Hat is one of the Wilderness chapter’s listed collectibles. Check side spaces as you move through the level; the available location notes do not give a more specific landmark for this pickup.
Nome Hat: complete The Nome’s Attic
This is not a standard pickup on the main route. In the Hunter’s cabin, follow the Nome into the optional attic puzzle and complete it to unlock the Nomes’ hat. Bandai Namco describes The Nome’s Attic as a puzzle that rewards the hat, and Nintendo’s DLC listing also identifies the Nomes’ hat as its reward. #1 Best Overall
- Little Nightmares II is a suspense-adventure game in which you play as Mono, a young boy trapped in a world that has been distorted by a mysterious transmission from a distant signal tower
- With Six, the girl in a yellow raincoat, Mono sets out to discover the dark secrets of The Signal Tower and save Six from her terrible fate; but their journey will not be easy
- Outsmart the sadistic teacher, survive the bloodthirsty hunter and flee from many more terrifying characters, as Mono and Six journey through this world together
- Your journey will take you from creepy woodlands to sinister schools on your way to the dreadful Signal Tower Find the source of the evil that spreads through the TV screens of the world
- Can you gather up the courage to fend off your tormenters, and work with Six to make sense of The Signal Tower?
If you do not own The Nome’s Attic, or an edition that includes it, the Nome route and reward should not be expected. Bandai Namco lists editions that package the DLC, while Nintendo lists it separately; check the listing for your platform and store to confirm what is available to you.
Yellow Rain Hat
After the first escape from the Hunter, reach the area with the metal cages. Climb the stack of cages, then use it to reach the suspended cage where the hat is hidden. This is an easy one to miss if you continue onward without exploring upward. Gameranx’s hat locations guide

Chapter 3 — The Hospital
Bear Hat
In the toy area near the X-ray room, look above eye level: the Bear Hat sits atop a bookcase or cabinet. Explore the furniture rather than searching only the floor. Gameranx’s hat locations guide
Mummy Hat
The Mummy Hat is the other listed Hospital collectible. The location notes identify it by chapter but do not establish a more precise landmark, so search the chapter’s optional spaces and elevated surfaces as you progress.

The Baker Boy Hat is in the toy shop. Check the shop’s contents before leaving the area; the location guide does not specify a more exact position. Gameranx’s hat locations guide
Chapter 5 and the ending
Cowboy Hat / Thin Man hat
The final listed hat is the Cowboy Hat, also identified as the Thin Man hat in the guide’s video title and timeline. It belongs to the endgame: one guide places it at the end of Chapter 5, while another describes it as earned on game completion. Do not expect to find it as an early hidden pickup. Bonus hat: Mokujin
Mokujin is labeled a pre-order bonus by the chapter-indexed guide. It is not part of the ordinary collectible route and should not be assumed to be available to current players who did not receive the bonus. The guide does not establish broader present-day availability. WarbyGaming’s all-hat guide
Quick Recap
If a hat seems to be missing
- Check whether it is conditional. The Nome Hat depends on The Nome’s Attic; Mokujin is identified as a pre-order bonus; the Cowboy Hat is an endgame reward.
- Look above and inside objects. The listed locations include a suspended cage, a high shelf, a bookcase or cabinet, and a mailbox.
- Confirm the chapter. The regular route runs from the Wilderness through the School, Hospital, and Pale City, with the Cowboy Hat at the ending.
