What is Loco Motive?
Loco Motive is a comedic point-and-click adventure set aboard the 1930s Reuss Express. After an assassination, lawyer Diana, rookie detective Arthur and undercover spy Herman become involved in a murder mystery. Players switch between the three protagonists, question suspicious passengers and solve item-based puzzles.

What are the main criticisms?
Puzzle design is the clearest point of friction in the excerpts. Some reviewers found puzzles frustrating, uneven or illogical. Technical bugs also appear in more than one review, so the favorable aggregate should not be read as unanimous praise for the experience.
For example, Gameliner’s November 19, 2024 excerpt praised the humor and characters but mentioned frustrating puzzles and technical bugs. Its art, cast and voice work are frequent strengths; tolerance for occasional puzzle frustration is the trade-off indicated by the cited excerpts.
How does the Switch version compare?
The 77 Metascore above is for PC, and the sources cited here do not establish a separate Switch critic aggregate. Do not use the PC score as a Switch review score or assume that performance and reception are identical across platforms.
