Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE preorders opened on January 19, 2026, and the mouse launched on February 10, 2026. The preorder date is now historical. The key change is Logitech’s Haptic Inductive Trigger System, which replaces conventional mechanical primary-button switches with configurable inductive sensing and haptic feedback.

Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE preorders opened on January 19, 2026. That date has already passed: Logitech announced the mouse would launch on February 10, 2026, and independent coverage later reported it as available for purchase. The original preorder headline should therefore be read as a historical timeline, not as an upcoming buying opportunity.

What changed with SUPERSTRIKE?

The PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE is Logitech G’s premium wireless competitive-gaming mouse and the first Logitech mouse to use the company’s SUPERSTRIKE technology. Its defining component is the Haptic Inductive Trigger System, or HITS.

  • Pro Gaming Headset: Based on the award-winning PRO X Gaming Headset, the new PRO X 2 was collaboratively designed with and for pro gamers to help them win
  • Clear Audio: 50mm Graphene drivers provide clear and immersive audio with low distortion—capturing the entire soundscape of the game with audio cues like footsteps and actions
  • Long Battery Life and Range: Equipped with pro-grade Logitech LIGHTSPEED wireless technology, with up to 50 hours of battery life (2) and up to 30m of 2.4 GHz wireless range (2)
  • Comfortable: These noise isolating headphones have rotating durable hinge and rotating soft memory foam earpads—available in leatherette or breathable velour
  • Connectivity: LIGHTSPEED wireless, Bluetooth and 3.5mm Aux Cord for connectivity options; USB-A to USB-C cable, USB-A Dongle with 3.5mm port, 3.5mm audio cable included

Instead of relying on conventional mechanical microswitches beneath the two primary buttons, HITS uses inductive analog sensing and haptic feedback. In practical terms, Logitech says the system lets you configure three parts of the button behavior in G HUB:

  • Actuation point: how far the primary button travels before the click is registered.
  • Rapid-trigger reset: how quickly the button can reset for another input.
  • Haptic intensity: how strong the simulated tactile feedback feels.

That makes the click response adjustable in software rather than fixed by the physical switch design. The haptic pulse is intended to provide confirmation without the familiar loud mechanical click. TechRadar described the primary buttons as unusually quiet while still finding the tactile feedback useful.

How much faster is it?

Logitech claims that SUPERSTRIKE can reduce click latency by up to 30 milliseconds. That is a manufacturer maximum claim, not a guaranteed result for every player, setting or game. Early preorder coverage specifically noted that the real-world gaming benefit still needed testing. Later independent reviews were positive about the mouse’s feel and performance, but they did not establish that every owner receives a universal 30-ms advantage.

The sensible interpretation is narrower: HITS gives competitive players more control over when a primary-button press activates and resets, while the overall response also depends on the game, computer, wireless connection, polling configuration and the player’s input habits. It may appeal to FPS players who value rapid repeated clicks and tunable actuation, but it cannot guarantee better aim, faster reactions or tournament results.

Core specifications

Specification PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE
Connection LIGHTSPEED 2 wireless and wired USB operation
Bluetooth Do not assume Bluetooth support; the official and reviewed specifications identify LIGHTSPEED wireless and USB operation.
Sensor Logitech HERO 2
DPI range 100–44,000 DPI
Maximum report rate Up to 8,000 Hz
Maximum acceleration More than 88 G
Maximum speed More than 888 IPS
Weight About 60–61 g
Dimensions 125 × 63.5 × 40 mm
Battery life Up to 90 hours, according to Logitech’s claim
Software Logitech G HUB

The official support specifications list a 60-g weight, while Logitech and independent coverage have also used approximately 61 g. “About 60–61 g” is the most useful way to report the small discrepancy; it does not indicate two materially different versions of the mouse.

Design, controls and comfort

The shell is near-symmetrical, with two thumb buttons on one side. It has a minimalist competitive-mouse layout rather than the extensive control array found on MMO mice. Independent coverage highlighted the low weight, smooth feet, comfortable shape and quiet primary buttons.

There are important limits to that design. The mouse does not offer a left-handed configuration, so left-handed buyers should not assume that the near-symmetrical outline makes it a true ambidextrous option. It is also a focused five-button-style mouse, not a good fit for players who need a thumb rest, a large number of side buttons or productivity shortcuts.

What comes in the box?

Logitech’s listed contents include:

  • PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE mouse
  • USB-A-to-USB-C cable
  • LIGHTSPEED adapter
  • Receiver extension adapter
  • Optional grip tape
  • Optional aperture door with PTFE foot
  • Cleaning cloth
  • User manual

Logitech’s support page does not currently list replacement parts for the model. Do not assume that every third-party grip, foot or replacement component is model-compatible; verify compatibility with the seller or Logitech before purchasing.

G HUB requirements and setup

Basic pointer operation does not require every advanced software feature, but configuring HITS and the mouse’s other advanced settings requires Logitech G HUB. Logitech identifies G HUB as the relevant companion application; third-party driver utilities are not required for normal configuration.

  1. Connect the receiver through the LIGHTSPEED adapter and extension, or connect the mouse by USB.
  2. Install or open Logitech G HUB on a supported computer.
  3. Pair or update the mouse if G HUB prompts you to do so.
  4. Choose the primary-button actuation setting that matches your preferred balance of light activation and accidental-click resistance.
  5. Configure rapid-trigger reset and haptic intensity separately rather than assuming the most aggressive setting is best.
  6. Test the profile in a practice range or non-competitive match before using it in ranked play.

Logitech’s listed computer requirements include Windows 10, Windows 11 or later, and a Windows or macOS computer with an available USB 2.0-or-higher port for the receiver environment. The high 8,000-Hz report rate may also increase the workload for some systems, so players should verify frame-time stability rather than selecting the maximum setting automatically.

Who should buy the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE?

The mouse makes the most sense for buyers who specifically want configurable primary-button behavior and are prepared to pay a premium for it. It is particularly relevant to:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • Competitive FPS players who make frequent primary-button inputs.
  • Players who want to experiment with actuation and rapid-reset settings.
  • Users who prefer a light wireless mouse with a minimalist control layout.
  • Players who value quiet primary clicks with adjustable tactile feedback.
  • Existing Logitech G users who already use G HUB and LIGHTSPEED equipment.

Who should skip it?

  • Left-handed users: the mouse has no left-handed configuration.
  • MMO and shortcut-heavy players: the focused button layout lacks the many side controls those games often need.
  • Budget buyers: the launch US price was $179.99, making this a premium purchase.
  • Players who do not need tunable clicks: a less expensive conventional gaming mouse may provide all the performance they actually use.
  • Bluetooth-dependent laptop users: do not buy it expecting Bluetooth support; the documented connection options are LIGHTSPEED wireless and wired USB.

Independent review perspective

TechRadar’s May 2026 review was favorable about the adjustable haptics, quiet buttons, comfort, sensor performance and battery life. That is useful independent editorial context, but it should not be confused with proof of Logitech’s maximum latency claim or a guarantee of competitive improvement for every player.

Logitech also announced in June 2026 that the mouse had been nominated for Best Product Innovation in Esports. That is a company announcement about a nomination, not independent evidence that the mouse is superior to every competing model.

Verdict

The important change was not merely a new sensor or a higher polling-rate number. Logitech built the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE around configurable haptic-inductive primary buttons, allowing players to alter actuation, reset behavior and feedback intensity. That is a meaningful difference from a conventional fixed mechanical switch, especially for competitive players who enjoy tuning input feel.

It is not a universal upgrade. At about $180, with no left-handed version, few controls and no documented Bluetooth mode, it is best viewed as a specialized premium FPS mouse. The January 19 preorder date is historical; the relevant current question is whether the mouse’s adjustable click behavior is worth its price for your games and hand preference.

Frequently Asked Questions

When did Logitech PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE preorders open?

Preorders opened on January 19, 2026. The mouse later launched on February 10, 2026, so the preorder date is historical rather than upcoming.

Is the Logitech PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE available now?

What is different about the PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE?

HITS replaces conventional mechanical primary-button switches with inductive analog sensing and haptic feedback. G HUB lets users adjust actuation, rapid-trigger reset and haptic intensity.

Does the Superstrike really reduce click latency by 30 ms?

Logitech claims up to a 30-millisecond click-latency reduction. That is a maximum manufacturer claim, not a guaranteed result for every player or game.

Does the Logitech PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE have Bluetooth?

The documented connection options are LIGHTSPEED wireless and wired USB. Do not assume that the mouse supports Bluetooth.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: The Logitech G PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE opened for preorder on January 19, 2026 and launched on February 10, 2026. Its HITS system makes the primary-button actuation, rapid reset and haptic feedback configurable, but Logitech’s “up to 30 ms” latency reduction remains a manufacturer claim—not a guaranteed advantage. It is most compelling for competitive FPS players who value tunable clicks, and least suitable for left-handed, MMO-focused or budget buyers.
