SnowRunner lists the Logitech G29 and G923 as supported wheels, including PS4- and Xbox-layout G923 variants. If your wheel is not working, first find out whether the problem is power or device recognition, a specific control, or SnowRunner itself. The right fix depends on your platform and on what still works.
Start by identifying what is failing
Before changing settings, note your platform (PC, PlayStation, or Xbox), PC storefront if applicable, exact wheel model and layout, and the SnowRunner version. Then check whether the wheel powers on or calibrates and whether the problem affects steering, pedals, buttons, or force feedback. A wheel that is detected but has a pedal or force-feedback problem is a different case from one the system cannot see.
- Does the platform recognize the wheel?
- Does the wheel work in another game or on another compatible system?
- Do all inputs fail, or only one control or feature?
SnowRunner’s official FAQ lists the G29 and G923, but compatibility-list inclusion does not confirm that a particular connection, layout, or setup is working correctly.
Check power, cables, USB, and wheel mode
Start with the physical connection before changing game settings. Logitech’s G29 PlayStation troubleshooting guidance recommends connecting the wheel’s power directly to a wall outlet, checking the cables, trying another console USB port, and avoiding a USB hub. It also advises confirming the platform mode, updating the system and game, checking settings, and testing the wheel in another game or on another system. Those instructions are specifically for G29 on PlayStation; treat the physical checks as sensible diagnostics elsewhere, not as platform-specific Logitech instructions.

- Premium Control: The Driving Force feedback racing wheel provides a detailed simulation of driving a real car, with helical gearing delivering smooth, quiet steering and a hand-stitched leather cover

- 900-Degree Rotation: Lock-to-lock rotation of the Driving Force means you can turn the wheel around two and a half times, hand over hand on wide turns - just like a real F1 race car
- Up Your Game: Take your racing simulation to the next level with Driving Force accessories like the Driving Force Shifter or desk and rig mounts
For a G29, confirm the wheel is set to the correct platform mode before connecting it. Logitech’s setup page specifies PS4 mode for PS4 and PC, but its accompanying software-version guidance may be dated; do not treat it as a recommendation to install an old package. See Logitech’s G29 setup guidance.
Confirm the G923 layout matches your platform
SnowRunner lists PS4- and Xbox-layout G923 variants separately. Check the exact version printed on or identified with your wheel and match it to the console and supported configuration; do not assume the layouts are interchangeable. The SnowRunner FAQ is the reference for the variants named by the game.

On PC, check whether Windows sees the wheel
- Check Logitech G HUB. Open G HUB and see whether it detects the wheel and registers steering, pedal, and button input. Logitech’s connection troubleshooting guidance recommends this recognition check.
- Check Windows’ controller panel. If the wheel is not detected there or its inputs do not register, troubleshoot the device connection and recognition before treating SnowRunner as the cause.
- Keep advanced fixes in reserve. Logitech’s guidance includes a Registry Editor procedure for particular calibration or blank-test-page symptoms. Registry edits are not a routine first step; do not use them unless the specific symptoms match and you understand the risks. Logitech also says its Firmware Update Tool is no longer supported or maintained, so do not install it as a fix.
If G HUB or Windows does not see the wheel, return to power, cable, USB, and mode checks. If Windows sees it and it works in another game, the evidence points toward a SnowRunner-specific setting or issue, but does not prove the cause.
Check SnowRunner settings if the platform recognizes the wheel
If the wheel is visible to the operating system or console and works in another game, inspect SnowRunner’s wheel or controller settings and any available wheel preset. Check the failing control specifically: steering, pedals, buttons, and force feedback may not share the same problem. Avoid treating “the wheel is detected” as proof that every control is configured correctly.

- Play even better: The next level for your racing simulation with Driving Force accessories such as the Driving Force gear lever or holders for desk and rig
SnowRunner’s Season 17 Patch Notes 40, dated January 27, 2026, list an Xbox wheel-control display fix and a PC Thrustmaster TX preset fix. Those notes do not establish a G29 or G923 connection fix.
When to report the problem
If the wheel is recognized outside SnowRunner but still fails in the game, report the issue through Saber Interactive’s official support center, the route identified in Focus’s support instructions. Include details that let support distinguish a connection problem from a game setting or control-specific failure:

- Racing Wheel: Easy-access game controls: On-wheel D-pad, console buttons, paddle shifters and LED indicator lights

- Platform and, on PC, storefront
- Exact wheel model and G923 layout
- SnowRunner version

- Which inputs fail and which still work
- Concise steps to reproduce the problem
When replacement is worth considering
Do not buy another wheel just because SnowRunner is not responding. Consider hardware replacement only after connection and mode checks, platform recognition checks, and cross-testing point to a fault with the wheel itself. Compatibility-list inclusion means the G29 and G923 are supported models; it does not make replacement a remedy for a setup or game-specific issue.
