Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports is best approached as a light, local-multiplayer party game, not a polished sports sim. Nintendo Life’s review of the European Nintendo Switch version praised its Looney Tunes presentation and found golf and short multiplayer sessions more enjoyable, but judged the collection clunky and frustrating overall. It offers basketball, soccer, golf and tennis; online play depends on platform, and Nintendo Life reported no online modes in the Switch version.
What is Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports?
Published by GameMill Entertainment and developed by Bamtang Games, Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports is a cartoon sports collection built around four familiar games, playable Looney Tunes characters, power-ups and hazards. Nintendo’s US Switch listing describes arcade basketball, tennis, golf and soccer, with local play for up to four players on one system. Nintendo sums up the pitch as: “Play against your friends featuring 4 classic sports: Basketball, Soccer, Golf and Tennis.” (Nintendo)
The Switch listing names Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester, Taz, Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner. The sports use different player formats: basketball is 2v2, tennis is 1v1 or 2v2, golf supports four players, and soccer is 4v4. Those formats describe the listed game modes; Nintendo’s local-play description is up to four players on one system.
Is it worth playing?
If you want a casual game to play with friends in the same room and value the cartoon presentation more than precise sports controls, it may be worth considering. If you want a consistently responsive sports game, a strong solo experience, or online play on Switch, the available review evidence gives reason to look elsewhere.

Ken Talbot’s Nintendo Life review, published September 27, 2024, covers the European Nintendo Switch version. Talbot liked the colorful presentation, voice work, music and recognizable characters, but found the collection clunky and frustrating overall. Golf came out best in that review, while basketball and soccer were the weaker fits; short multiplayer sessions offered some fun despite the broader control problems. (Nintendo Life)

How do the four sports play?
Golf
Golf was the strongest sport in Nintendo Life’s Switch review. Talbot felt it sidestepped movement issues that affected other events, making it the most immediately enjoyable option in the collection. That is the reviewer’s assessment, not a guarantee that every player will prefer it.
Basketball
Nintendo lists arcade 2v2 basketball. In the reviewed Switch version, Talbot found its controls imprecise, which made this mode less satisfying than the presentation suggests.
Rank #3
- UK PSN account may be required for any online features
Soccer
The listed soccer mode is 4v4. Like basketball, it drew criticism in Nintendo Life’s review for imprecise-feeling controls. The reviewer also noted occasional slowdowns during power-up-heavy moments in the Switch version.
Tennis
Tennis supports 1v1 or 2v2 according to Nintendo’s Switch listing. Talbot reported inconsistent hit detection in the Switch version, a problem that can make rallies feel unreliable.

Does it have local and online multiplayer?
Yes to local multiplayer: Nintendo describes up to four players on one Switch system. The PC listing on Steam includes shared/split-screen PvP, shared/split-screen play and Remote Play Together, alongside single-player. Those PC features should not be assumed to apply to console editions.
For Switch specifically, Nintendo Life reported that the version it reviewed had no online modes. The supplied platform listings do not establish a comparable online-mode feature for PlayStation or Xbox, so check the relevant store listing for the edition you intend to play rather than treating the PC options as universal. For local sessions, you may need additional Joy-Con or compatible controllers depending on your setup; the precise controller requirements and configurations are not established by the cited listings.

Which platforms can you play it on?
ESRB lists the game for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series. Nintendo’s US listing identifies a digital Switch edition and says its behavior is consistent on Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo gives the Switch release date as September 27, 2024; Steam also lists September 27, 2024 as the PC release date. The cited information does not establish current availability for every platform or region, so confirm the listing for your storefront before buying. (ESRB)
The US PlayStation Store lists standard and Deluxe editions for PS4 and PS5. Its Deluxe edition includes the base game and Yosemite Sam Pack. That edition information is specific to the US PlayStation listing and should not be assumed to describe other storefronts.
Is it suitable for children?
ESRB rates Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports E for Everyone with Mild Fantasy Violence. Its content notes describe cartoon power-ups such as anvils, bombs and dynamite. The rating is a useful content guide, but parents should decide whether slapstick cartoon violence suits the child in question.
What are the main drawbacks?
The clearest concerns in the cited Switch review are control feel, inconsistent tennis hit detection, occasional slowdowns during power-up-heavy play, and AI that Talbot found unfair even on easier settings. The review also describes stiff character models. These are specific criticisms of the European Switch version reviewed by Nintendo Life, not verified findings for the PC, PlayStation or Xbox editions.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThere is also a mode-fit trade-off: the game’s strongest case is casual local play, while the Switch review’s lack of online modes limits its usefulness for friends who cannot play together in person. Before buying on another platform, check its current store page for multiplayer details rather than extrapolating from Switch or PC.
Quick Recap
Who should play it?
- Good fit: Looney Tunes fans who want a colorful local party game and are comfortable with arcade-style, imperfect controls.
- Possible fit: Families or groups seeking a short-session game, particularly if golf sounds appealing and the group can play on one system.
- Less suitable: Players looking for accurate sports mechanics, consistently polished controls, or online multiplayer on Switch.
