Love and Deepspace does not have one fixed installed size for every player. The latest official figure available here is for Version 6.0: the July 2026 update guide recommended at least 27 GB of free storage before installation and said roughly 3.2–7.9 GB of additional resources might need downloading. Those are update requirements—not the size of the game itself. To make room, start with the in-game Quick Cleanup and review what it proposes before removing anything.
How much storage does Love and Deepspace need?
For Version 6.0, launched July 9, 2026, the official guide recommended at least 27 GB free before installing and estimated that approximately 3.2–7.9 GB of additional resources might be required, depending on the resources already on your account. The guide was published July 8, 2026, and is the newest relevant official update guide available as of October 4, 2026. Read the official Version 6.0 Client Update Guide.
Neither figure is a universal installed-size estimate. The total on your device depends on the client version and the resources you have downloaded. The publisher explains: “Because of game resource decompression needs, the recommended free space size may differ from the actual download size.” In other words, an update can require substantially more free working space than the package or extra data it downloads.
What the different size figures mean
| Figure | What it describes |
|---|---|
| At least 27 GB free | Version 6.0 installation guidance: recommended available space, not the game’s installed size. |
| Approximately 3.2–7.9 GB | Version 6.0 estimate for additional resources that may need downloading, depending on in-game resource conditions. |
| Package size | The client installation package. It does not necessarily include every resource the game needs or the temporary working space for decompression. |
Older update numbers are useful only as examples of why these measures should not be conflated. Version 5.0’s December 2025 guide cited approximately 5.3 GB of pre-download data, followed by another approximately 500 MB–2.5 GB of resources for some players after replacing the client package; its new Home feature was estimated at about 2.2 GB, with actual size depending on in-game data. Version 4.0’s July 2025 guide listed packages of approximately 3.3 GB for iOS and 2.8 GB for Android alongside 22 GB of recommended free space. These figures describe different versions and update stages. Do not add them together to estimate today’s installation size.

How to free up Love and Deepspace storage
- Scan with Quick Cleanup. From the main game screen, tap your profile in the top-left corner, then choose Quick Cleanup near the bottom. Review the scan results, which separate Recommended Cleanup from Deep Cleanup. You can select categories or items, or use one-tap cleanup.
- Review Deep Cleanup items individually. The official guide warns that removing Deep Cleanup resources may affect subsequent gameplay. If you are unsure what an item supports, leave it in place rather than deleting it blindly. See the official resource-management guidance.
- Check Manage Resource. From the bottom of the Profile interface, open Manage Resource to inspect and manage downloaded resources, including recommended content that may have downloaded automatically.
- Adjust recommended downloads. Go to Settings → Feature and disable recommended downloads if you do not want that feature downloading content over Wi-Fi automatically. After Version 6.0, Main Screen Voices were part of Recommended Downloads; Phone Call Voices can be managed and cleared when needed.
- Remove personal content only if you want to. Albums and Journals can be cleared from their respective features. Preserve or back up anything personal you want to keep before deleting it. The official guide does not establish that every removed resource or personal item can always be recovered or downloaded again.
- Use the storage prompt if an update cannot proceed. If the game reports insufficient space, use its Clear Cache button or free at least the amount shown in the prompt, then retry. An older official guide cautioned that repeated retries without freeing space could make the displayed requirement inaccurate.
- Let decompression finish. After a download completes, keep the game open in the background while it installs; the Version 6.0 guide says closing it can prolong installation.
Should you uninstall and reinstall to save space?
Do not make uninstalling the old client your routine first step for an update. The publisher recommends overlay installation and warns: “Uninstalling the old version may result in the loss of local data, such as photos not uploaded to the cloud.” Check that personal photos are uploaded or otherwise preserved before any uninstall. The official Version 6.0 update guide contains the update instructions.

The Version 6.0 guide recommends an iPhone 12 (A14) or later, an iPad with A14 or M1 or later, and iOS 13.0 or later. For Android, it lists at least 6 GB RAM, Android 7.0 or later, and a Dimensity 9000 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or later; for PC emulation, it recommends the latest MuMuPlayer. These are that guide’s device recommendations, not a guarantee of a particular storage footprint or performance on every device.
