LoveKami -Useless Goddess- is a single-player MoeNovel visual novel released on Steam in 2017. Its store description follows Sho Narumi as he tries to help Akane, a goddess linked to power outages, reform. The available facts establish the premise, language options, system requirements and developer’s content note—but not how the game plays or how well its story and localization work.

What is LoveKami -Useless Goddess-?

Steam classifies LoveKami -Useless Goddess- as an Adventure, Casual and Simulation title. MoeNovel is listed as both developer and publisher, and the game is part of the LoveKami franchise. Steam gives its release date as May 29, 2017.

According to the Steam synopsis, goddesses have descended on Japan. Sho Narumi encounters Akane, an Aragami associated with power outages, and tries to help her reform with the help of Inori and Maika. That is the store’s setup, not a complete account of the plot.

What can you expect from its story and presentation?

The premise combines a supernatural situation with a reform-focused character story. The store description identifies the central conflict and supporting characters, but it does not establish how the plot develops, how much choice or route variation the game offers, or what its overall tone feels like in play.

Steam lists English interface and subtitles alongside full Japanese audio. The listing does not, by itself, establish the quality of the English localization or the amount of voiced dialogue.

What content does the developer describe?

Steam’s Mature Content Description, supplied by the developer, says: “While there are no visual nor text-based depictions of sexual activity, there are scenes in the title in which the female characters are scantily-clad and/or showing relatively high amounts of skin, as well as discussions about sexual acts (none of which are depicted).” This is the available official description of the game’s suggestive imagery and sexual discussion.

That note does not verify content differences between editions, whether a patch exists or is required, or an age rating. The Steam Community discussion raises those questions, but user discussion is not confirmation; check the relevant edition’s own official listing if those details matter to your purchase.

How does the Steam version work on PC?

Steam lists the game as single-player and includes achievements, trading cards and Family Sharing. Its page shows 19 achievements.

Requirement Steam’s listed minimum
Operating system Windows 7/8/10
Processor Intel Core2Duo or higher
Memory 2 GB RAM
Graphics Intel HD graphics or higher, with 512 MB VRAM
Storage 3 GB available space
Display Capable of showing 1280×720

There is an important distinction between the game’s stated minimum and the platform it runs through: Steam says its client supports Windows 10 and later starting January 1, 2024. The game’s older Windows 7/8 minimum does not mean the current Steam client supports those operating systems.

What is available to buy?

The Steam listing includes the digital game, a digital soundtrack and a soundtrack bundle. Prices, discounts and bundle availability can change, so check the live Steam page for the current purchase options rather than relying on an old price.

What this review can—and cannot—establish

The verified information makes it possible to describe the game’s premise, stated platform features, language configuration, requirements and developer-provided content note. It does not establish firsthand impressions of the writing, routes, pacing, performance, localization or overall quality. Those are central parts of a visual novel review, so no verdict on them is warranted here.
