It released on Steam on January 14, 2020, and the store listing includes Windows and macOS versions.
What you do in Mad Tower Tycoon
The core task is to make a high-rise function as well as look the way you want. Eggcode’s Steam description says towers can exceed 100 floors. You choose what goes into the building, rent out space and add facilities such as restaurants and cinemas to serve tenants and visitors.

Build, rent and serve
- Construct a tower and allocate space to offices, apartments and shops.
- Add facilities, including restaurants and cinemas, to support people using the building.
- Configure elevators to affect travel and waiting in a tower that can grow beyond 100 floors, according to Eggcode’s Steam listing.
Manage problems and progress
Eggcode also describes random incidents, including fires and earthquakes, as well as daily missions, experience progression and more than 50 skills. The store listing says detailed statistics cover factors such as cleanliness, noise, visitor numbers and profit. These are features in the developer’s description, not claims about independently measured performance.

Platforms, release and compatibility
Steam lists January 14, 2020 as the game’s release date. In an announcement on that date, Eggcode said the game was leaving Early Access after more than two years of development and that a macOS version was available at full release. The current Steam store listing provides Windows and macOS system requirements.
Those requirements include older operating-system versions, so they should not be treated as a guarantee of compatibility today. Steam separately states that its client has required Windows 10 or later since January 1, 2024. Check the store listing and your system’s current compatibility before buying, particularly if you use an older computer or operating system.

The features point to a game for players who like combining spatial planning with ongoing management. The appeal is not only stacking floors: the tower needs transport, services and a workable tenant mix, while random incidents and operational statistics give you problems to respond to as it expands. The official description establishes those systems, but it does not provide a basis for judging difficulty, depth in practice or how well the game runs on a particular machine.
