Madden NFL 25’s announced Franchise and presentation upgrades are for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Franchise adds a rebuilt NFL Draft Night with Roger Goodell, a redesigned Franchise Central, dynamic storylines, and Team Builder customization. Presentation adds two commentary teams, new pregame montages and camera angles, updated environments, Super Bowl celebrations, and immersive audio. EA’s launch materials separately list PS4 and Xbox One as supported platforms, but do not assign these newer feature updates to those versions.
What changed in Franchise mode?
EA’s August 16, 2024 launch announcement groups the Franchise updates around Draft Night, Franchise Central, and customization. These are publisher-described features, not independently measured improvements.

A rebuilt NFL Draft Night
The updated Draft Night experience features NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. EA presents it as a rebuilt part of Franchise mode, rather than simply a new name for the existing draft flow. EA’s launch announcement does not specify every draft interaction or how the presentation varies by team or season.
Franchise Central and dynamic storylines
EA describes Franchise Central as redesigned, with dynamic storylines and strategic insights. An EA-hosted deep-dive index adds that storylines can span seasons and that breakout storylines may have multiple paths and outcomes. The index reports “more than 70 brand new dynamic storylines”; that is EA’s figure, and the detailed page is not directly available at the cited source, so the count and granular mechanics should be treated as publisher-attributed descriptions, not independently verified specifications. EA’s Franchise and Presentation deep-dive index contains the indexed details.

Prospect browsing
The same deep-dive index describes a redesigned prospect hub with a spreadsheet-style view. EA’s indexed description says prospects can be sorted by region, attributes, physical grades, and Combine and Pro Day data. This may help players organize scouting information, but the source does not establish the exact filters, their performance, or whether every data point is available in every view.
Team Builder customization
EA highlights greater customization through the Team Builder website. The launch announcement does not enumerate the available customization options or explain their limits, so check the current Team Builder and platform details before planning a specific design or workflow.
What changed in presentation?
EA announced two added commentary pairings: Mike Tirico with Greg Olsen, and Kate Scott with Brock Huard. It also lists new pregame montages, camera angles, environments, Super Bowl celebrations, and immersive audio. The announcement identifies these as presentation additions but does not provide a quality measurement or quantify how often a particular broadcast element appears.
EA’s release also reports “900+ new plays,” but that is a separate gameplay figure, not a count of presentation changes. EA Executive Producer Seann Graddy described the game as having “a new look, sound, and feel”; this is promotional language, not an independent assessment of the changes.
