Stardew Valley Mods Let Players Romance and Marry the Wizard Rasmodius

Romanceable Rasmodius adds a Wizard romance path, while its SVE-dependent Redux Revamped counterpart offers a separate gated route. Here’s how they differ and what wedding mods do—and don’t—change.

In unmodded Stardew Valley, the Wizard—also known as Rasmodius—is not an ordinary marriage candidate. The standalone Romanceable Rasmodius mod adds an authored romance path with heart events and marriage content. If you use Stardew Valley Expanded (SVE), though, do not install that standalone version: a separate overhaul, Romanceable Rasmodius Redux Revamped, requires SVE and handles the relationship differently.

What does Romanceable Rasmodius add?

The standalone Romanceable Rasmodius mod makes the Wizard a romance option and adds relationship progression and heart events. Its documented event triggers include 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 14 hearts. Some events also depend on conditions such as time, weather, location, or friendship with another villager, so reaching a heart threshold alone may not be enough to trigger every scene.

The mod page also documents configurable dialogue, sprites, portraits, and baby options. The project describes romance and marriage content; for the current feature details and requirements, check the mod’s Nexus Mods page, since mod versions and dependencies can change.

Which Wizard romance mod should you choose?

The standalone mod and its Redux Revamped counterpart are separate projects, not two names for the same installation. Choose based on whether you already play with SVE and whether you want a hidden, progression-gated relationship route.

Option What it offers Requirements and fit
Romanceable Rasmodius Relationship progression, heart events, and configurable dialogue, appearance, and baby options, as documented on its Nexus Mods page. The standalone project says it is not compatible with SVE. Its page lists a dialogue dependency and installation instructions; verify current requirements before installing.
Romanceable Rasmodius Redux Revamped (RRRR) A distinct overhaul with an optional Hidden Love Interest Mode that conceals the Wizard’s eligibility until unlock conditions are met. Requires SVE. Its unlock route includes SVE’s Nexus and Warp hexes, and its author warns of conflicts with other mods that change Wizard lore or relationship content. See the RRRR project page for current details.

Choose the standalone mod if you do not use SVE

Romanceable Rasmodius is the option to investigate if you want a direct Wizard romance path without adopting the SVE-required overhaul. Its project page’s installation directions say to copy the mod folder into the game’s Mods directory and identify a dialogue dependency. Confirm the current dependency and compatibility notes on the page before copying files; those details can change.

Choose RRRR if you already use SVE and want a gated route

RRRR is built around SVE and its Hidden Love Interest Mode can keep the Wizard’s eligibility hidden until specified progression conditions are satisfied. The author warns that toggling this mode before eligibility is unlocked can break the mechanic or reset heart levels. Follow the current setup instructions rather than switching the mode casually in an existing save.

Can you marry the Wizard in vanilla Stardew Valley?

Not through the game’s normal authored marriage system: the Wizard is not an ordinary marriage candidate. The Stardew Valley Wiki’s console-command documentation notes that debug commands can set non-marriageable villagers as spouses, but that is a workaround, not a complete romance route. Non-marriageable villagers may have an empty spouse room, a basic spouse schedule, and rare dialogue; Krobus has additional special limitations when made a spouse by command.

Does a wedding mod make the Wizard marriageable?

No. Enchanted Ceremony – A Wizard Wedding Mod changes the Wizard’s wedding ceremony: it moves the event to the Secret Woods, adjusts the guest list, and offers configurable officiants. Its author explicitly says it does not enable marriage to the Wizard by itself. You need a separate romance-enabling mod, and the page lists multiple Romanceable Rasmodius variants as compatible.

What to check before installing

  • Identify your setup: If you use SVE, do not combine it with the standalone Romanceable Rasmodius version; investigate the SVE-dependent RRRR project instead.
  • Check current requirements: Read the chosen project’s current dependency, installation, and compatibility notes before downloading or updating.
  • Review Wizard-related conflicts: RRRR warns that mods altering Wizard lore or relationship content can conflict.
  • Treat hidden-interest settings carefully: RRRR warns against toggling Hidden Love Interest Mode before its eligibility unlock conditions are met.
  • Keep the ceremony mod in its lane: Enchanted Ceremony changes wedding presentation; it is not a substitute for a mod that enables the relationship.

For broader context, PC Gamer’s January 12, 2026 Stardew Valley mods roundup describes a Wizard romance mod with heart events, post-marriage dialogue, and festival scenes. The exact headline-to-mod match is not confirmed, so Romanceable Rasmodius is best understood as the likely mod behind the description rather than a verified identification of a specific article.
