When did Mafia: The Old Country release?
2K announced August 8, 2025 as the release date on May 8, 2025, and on launch day said the game was available worldwide. The publisher listed PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam at launch. Its May date announcement also named NVIDIA GeForce NOW.

The careful answer is to report both dates with their sources rather than call the Steam date a mistake.
What is the game about?
2K describes Mafia: The Old Country as a third-person action-adventure set in 1900s Sicily. Enzo Favara survives indentured labor in sulfur mines before joining Don Torrisi’s crime family. The publisher highlights stealth, knife fights, and gunplay; Hangar 13 described the game’s design as linear and focused. These are publisher descriptions, not independent review findings.

2K also reported in its August 8, 2025 launch announcement that the Mafia franchise had sold more than 35 million copies across consoles and PC. That is a franchise-wide figure, not sales of The Old Country.
