Wizards of the Coast scheduled its tabletop launch for June 26, 2026, and its MTG Arena launch for June 23, 2026; both dates have passed as of October 8, 2026.
What is the Marvel Super Heroes set?
Wizards of the Coast named the set Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes. It continues the company’s Marvel collaboration after Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man. The official description encompasses heroes and villains across the Marvel Universe, so “Avengers crossover” captures some of the promotional context but not the full scope of the set. Wizards’ 2026 lineup announcement introduced the set as part of its 2026 slate.
The Avengers feature in the related launch programming: Wizards promoted Avengers Academy, an event designed to help players learn Magic with a teammate. That event and the associated prerelease dates were in 2026 and have passed. Wizards’ event page describes the programming.
When did it release?

| MTG Arena | June 23, 2026 | Wizards’ Arena announcement, published May 19, 2026 |
The digital release included the full-size draftable main set, selected cards associated with Jumpstart, the Beginner Box and Scene Boxes, plus craftable featured commanders from the four Commander decks. Wizards also said there would be no equivalent Through the Omenpaths release for this set; see its MTG Arena release details.

Where can you look for the set?
Wizards identified local game stores, TCGplayer, Amazon and other places that sell Magic as purchase channels. That establishes where the products were offered, not whether a particular item is in stock now or what it costs today. Check retailer listings directly for current inventory and prices; do not assume a launch MSRP is still the going rate. Wizards’ collecting guide covers product formats and sales channels.

Hasbro and Marvel described their agreement as a multi-year, multi-set collaboration spanning collectible products and tentpole Magic sets. In the partnership announcement, Cynthia Williams, then president of Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro Gaming, said, “We are extremely proud to collaborate with Marvel to bring its iconic characters to fans around the world in new ways.” Dan Buckley, president of Marvel Comics and Franchise, said, “Trading cards have always been a part of Marvel’s DNA, so this collaboration takes that experience to a whole new level.” The Hasbro–Marvel announcement also cited more than 50 million Magic fans to date and publication in more than 150 countries; those are broad franchise figures, not Marvel Super Heroes sales or player statistics.
