The Infinity Stone card in Magic: The Gathering | Marvel’s Spider-Man is The Soul Stone. It can make black mana as soon as it enters play; after you harness it, it repeatedly returns creature cards from your graveyard to the battlefield.
What are the Infinity Stones in the Spider-Man MTG set?
The Spider-Man set’s Infinity Stone is The Soul Stone, a black legendary artifact with the subtype Infinity Stone. It is not a set of six separate Stone cards: Wizards’ 2026 Marvel Super Heroes release notes discuss The Mind Stone in that separate release, so that card should not be confused with the Spider-Man card. What does The Soul Stone do in MTG?
The Soul Stone costs {1}{B}, is indestructible, and has “{T}: Add {B}.” That mana ability works before the Stone is harnessed. Its second ability costs {6}{B}, requires tapping the Stone and exiling a creature you control, and harnesses it. Only once the Stone is harnessed does its infinity ability trigger at the beginning of your upkeep, returning a target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield. What harnessing means
“Harnessed” is a designation a permanent receives when an ability instructs you to harness it; it is not a card type or a zone. Wizards’ release notes define the designation in those terms. The status remains while the Stone stays on the battlefield, even if control changes. If it leaves the battlefield and later returns, it is no longer harnessed and must be harnessed again. Harnessing it again while it is already harnessed adds no benefit, although you can still activate the ability.

The practical sequence
- Use the Stone’s tap ability for {B} whenever you can tap it and need black mana.
- To turn on its recurring upkeep trigger, pay {6}{B}, tap it, and exile a creature you control.
- At the beginning of each of your upkeeps while it remains harnessed, target a creature card in your graveyard for return to the battlefield.
That sequence means the card offers immediate mana, but its repeatable reanimation ability comes after a substantial mana payment and the loss of a creature you control to exile. This describes the printed costs and timing, not a claim about tournament performance.

The guide describes the textless cosmic foil as appearing in “extremely low quantities,” but provides no numeric pull rate. That wording does not establish the odds of finding one in a particular pack. Booster contents are not a guarantee of The Soul Stone or any specific treatment.
