Secret Lair x SpongeBob SquarePants: Internet Sensation is the meme-focused release in Wizards of the Coast’s March 2025 SpongeBob Superdrop. It contains five Magic card reprints and a Food Token, with original US launch prices of $29.99 for non-foil and $39.99 for Rainbow Foil. Those are historical prices, not current quotes.
What’s in the Internet Sensation Secret Lair?
The drop contains six card faces: five named Magic cards and one Food Token.
- 1x Counterspell
- 1x Daze
- 1x Inevitable Betrayal
- 1x Force of Despair
- 1x Night’s Whisper
- 1x Food Token
Wizards frames the theme around SpongeBob’s online presence, describing “reaction GIFs, image macros, and viral posts.” Its product copy calls SpongeBob “And maybe most impressively, Lord of Memes.” That is Wizards’ promotional wording, not a measured claim about the reach or popularity of the memes.
The official product page credits the art to Tyler Walpole and states that SpongeBob SquarePants was created by Stephen Hillenburg, with ©2025 Viacom International Inc. (Wizards’ Internet Sensation product page.)
#1 Best Overall
- After appearing in over 300 episodes across 15 seasons (and on countless birthday cakes), SpongeBob has finally surfaced from Bikini Bottom and entered Secret Lair.
How much did it cost?
At its original US launch in 2025, Internet Sensation was listed at $29.99 USD non-foil or $39.99 USD Rainbow Foil, according to Wizards’ March 2025 Superdrop announcement. These are launch prices only; they do not establish today’s store stock or resale value.
Wizards’ FAQ explains that Rainbow Foil has been renamed Traditional Foil; the name refers to the foil treatment, not a separate rules version of the cards. (Secret Lair FAQ, updated February 24, 2026.)

How does it compare with the other SpongeBob drops?
Internet Sensation was one of three SpongeBob-themed releases in the Our Boss Is on Vacation Superdrop. Each had its own theme; they were separate products, not pieces of a required bundle or a single deck.
| Drop | Theme and contents | Original US launch price |
|---|---|---|
| Internet Sensation | Meme-centered cards: five named reprints and a Food Token | $29.99 non-foil; $39.99 Rainbow Foil |
| Legends of Bikini Bottom | Magic-card reinterpretations of well-known SpongeBob characters | Not stated in the cited announcement details |
| Lands Under the Sea | SpongeBob locations depicted through basic lands | Not stated in the cited announcement details |
The themes and the Internet Sensation launch prices are from Wizards’ Superdrop announcement. The other drops’ prices are not included here because a comparable launch price is not established in the cited details.

When did it go on sale, and is it still available?
Wizards’ status page gives March 24, 2025 as the Superdrop sale start, running while supplies lasted. It lists regional release dates of March 25 for the US and April 18 for EU/UK, with later regional shipping windows. (Secret Lair Production and Shipping Status.) These are historical dates, not a current availability notice.
Secret Lair says most drops are limited print runs prepared before sale and can sell out, while some drops are print on demand. That general policy does not confirm whether Internet Sensation is currently in stock. Its present store inventory and resale listings are not established here.
