What is MarchMallows?
Steam lists MarchMallows as an indie strategy game developed and published by Perfect Execution Games. Its store description has players get Marchies safely home by placing tools, objects and contraptions to clear paths, block hazards, make shortcuts and trigger mechanisms. Listed dangers include grinders, spikes, hammers, rolling rocks and cliffs.
The developer has described the game as Lemmings-inspired, with 3D maps, multiplayer, a campaign and a level editor. In the developer’s account, co-op teammates share tools and agree on placements before the Marchies begin moving. These are developer and store descriptions, not independent gameplay findings.
What does the playtest reportedly include?
COGconnected and Family Friendly Gaming both reported on October 5, 2026 that the Steam playtest was live. COGconnected described a co-op campaign, competitive minigames and a level editor; both reports directed players to the game’s Steam page to request access.

That reported playtest status is time-sensitive. The Steam listing retrieved alongside those reports continued to label the full game “Coming soon” and say it was not yet available on Steam. A playtest can be offered separately from a full release, but the available information does not establish whether requests are currently open, granted automatically or accepted by invitation, or when access might close.
How do I try the MarchMallows playtest?
- Open the MarchMallows Steam page and check whether its playtest offer is currently displayed.
- If Steam presents a request-access option, use it while signed in to the account you want to play with. The October 5 reports identify Steam as the access route but do not specify whether approval is automatic.
- Check the page or your Steam account for an access update. Do not assume that a request guarantees immediate entry or that the October 5 availability remains in effect.
Is MarchMallows co-op, and what other modes are listed?
Yes. Steam advertises online co-op for up to four players. Its store description also lists single-player and online player-versus-player matches between two teams, from 1v1 to 4v4, over five rounds. These are advertised modes; the available sources do not independently verify how they play.

The planning element is central to the advertised premise: players place objects to alter routes and counter hazards before the Marchies move. Steam also advertises a level editor, while October 5 coverage reported competitive minigames and player-created puzzle content in the playtest. Steam says a no-blood mode is available, with characters spraying candy instead.

Steam also notes that its client has supported Windows 10 and later since January 1, 2024. That client requirement is separate from the game’s listed minimum operating system; a PC meeting the game’s older minimum OS specification may still be unable to run the current Steam client on that system.
