Both windows have ended, so the prices below are historical—not active deals.
What were the Mario Day 2026 deals?
Nintendo’s March 5, 2026 announcement said the MAR10 Day festivities marked the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game and promoted The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. It named these games and Canadian suggested retail prices:
| # | Preview | Product | Price | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 |
|
New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe - US Version | $52.98 | Buy on Amazon |
| Game or edition | Canadian suggested retail price in Nintendo’s announcement |
|---|---|
| Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury | CAD $59.99 |
| Super Mario Odyssey | CAD $59.99 |
| Luigi’s Mansion 3 | CAD $59.99 |
| Super Mario Party Jamboree | CAD $59.99 |
| Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door | CAD $54.99 |
| Mario & Luigi: Brothership | CAD $54.99 |
| Mario vs. Donkey Kong | CAD $44.99 |
| Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV | CAD $89.99 |
These are suggested prices in Nintendo of Canada’s announcement, not a claim that every retailer sold each title for that amount. MobileSyrup reported savings of CAD $25 on several named games and the storage card, and CAD $30 on Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi. A March 5 Walmart flyer for the Toronto area listed Super Mario Odyssey at CAD $59.96, an archived local example rather than a nationwide or current price. When did the offers run?
Nintendo announced two different offer windows in Canada. Physical game deals at select retailers ran March 5–12, 2026, while supplies lasted. Select eShop and My Nintendo Store deals ran through March 15. Those dates have passed; the announcement does not establish that any of those offers remain available.
#1 Best Overall
- A variety of playable characters are available, some with unique attributes that affect gameplay and platforming physics.
- Younger and less-experienced players will love playing as Toadette, who is brand new to both games, and Nabbit, who was formerly only playable in New Super Luigi U. Both characters offer extra assistance during play.
- Multiplayer sessions are even more fun, frantic, and exciting thanks to entertaining character interactions. Need a boost? Try jumping off a teammate’s head or getting a teammate to throw you.
- Features a wealth of help features, like a Hints gallery, reference videos, and a Super Guide in New Super Mario Bros. U that can complete levels for you if they’re giving you trouble.
- Three additional modes—Boost Rush, Challenges, and Coin Battle—mix up gameplay and add replayability, while also upping the difficulty for players who want to try something harder. Players can use their Mii characters in these modes.
Was there a Switch 2 accessory deal?
Nintendo also listed a Samsung 256GB microSD Express Card for Nintendo Switch 2, with CAD $25 off MSRP and a suggested retail price of CAD $59.99. That was part of the same historical promotion, not a current discount guarantee. If shopping for Switch 2 storage now, verify that the listing is specifically for a microSD Express card compatible with Switch 2; the cited deal does not apply to arbitrary microSD cards.
What else was part of MAR10 Day?
Nintendo’s announcement also described activities beyond game discounts, including classic-game access for Nintendo Switch Online members, online Mario Kart World races with My Nintendo points for participation, content in the Nintendo Today! app, Switch 2 demos at selected retailers and on specified Cineplex dates, and an EB Games keychain offer tied to a qualifying Mario game purchase. Each had its own dates, location, or eligibility conditions, so availability depended on the specific activity and region.
Quick Recap
How to assess a Mario game offer now
- Confirm the exact game and edition, especially whether a listing is for the standard Switch release or a Switch 2 Edition.
- Check physical versus digital format and the retailer or store offering it.
- Compare the live price with that seller’s current listing; the 2026 suggested retail prices and reported savings are historical references only.
- Verify compatibility and region before buying. Nintendo’s cited promotion was Canadian and does not establish U.S. prices or availability.
