There is no legitimate, currently usable Mario Kart Tour ruby hack. Nintendo prohibits hacks, cheats, bots, mods, and unauthorized software, and the game’s service ended on September 29, 2026. Old guides describing ways to earn rubies are historical, not current instructions.
Can you use a ruby hack or generator?
No authorized hack or ruby generator can provide a legitimate way to obtain or use rubies in Mario Kart Tour. Nintendo’s Terms of Service prohibit cheats, exploits, bots, hacks, mods, unauthorized software, and unauthorized changes to a device. A site promising rubies is not an official Nintendo method; do not provide it with your Nintendo Account credentials.
There is also no ongoing game service in which to use newly acquired rubies. Nintendo of America states that “Service for the Mario Kart Tour game for smart devices was discontinued at 11:00 p.m. PT on September 29, 2026.” Nintendo’s Japanese notice gives the corresponding closure time as September 30, 2026, at 15:00 JST.
How did players get free rubies when the game was active?
Nintendo’s former FAQ listed login bonuses, challenges, season gifts, and ranking rewards as ways to receive free rubies. Those were gameplay options while the service was operating; they are not ways to earn currency now that it has closed.

Can rubies be used in another game?
No. Nintendo’s FAQ says Mario Kart Tour rubies could be used only in Mario Kart Tour, not in other games, applications, or services. The currency cannot be transferred to another Nintendo game or used as a general Nintendo balance.
What happens to unused paid rubies?
Nintendo’s July 8, 2026 notice for Japan provides a post-closure refund process for eligible unused paid rubies. It distinguishes those from bonus rubies granted with a purchase: bonus rubies count as free rubies and are not refundable. The Japanese notice also tells eligible players to keep the app installed until the refund is complete.

- This item can be redeemed on eShop only. This item cannot be redeemed on the Wii Shop

- Digital Card balances can be shared across Nintendo Switch, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS family of systems, but may only be used on a single Nintendo eShop account.
That notice is specific to Japan. Players elsewhere should check Nintendo support for their own region rather than assume the same refund process or eligibility applies. Nintendo’s FAQ separately says rubies already spent cannot be reclaimed or refunded; that applies to spent currency, not the separate Japan process for qualifying unused paid rubies.
