Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Yes—dated reports show Mario & Luigi: Brothership running in some Nintendo Switch emulator setups around its November 7, 2024 release. A creator-published benchmark named Ryujinx and Sudachi, while community posts also described problems such as crashes, glitches, and inconsistent frame rates. Those reports show that the game could run in particular setups; they do not establish broad compatibility, reliable completion, or a current guarantee.
What the launch-era reports show
On November 7, 2024, a creator published a benchmark video identifying Ryujinx and Sudachi and disclosing the software versions and Windows PC configuration used. The video described the game as running at 4K. That is evidence of a demonstration on the stated setup, not an independently reproduced result or proof that the entire game played reliably. A community post from November 6 discussed mods for Yuzu and its forks, as well as Ryujinx, and warned that emulator behavior was unstable. Other community comments around launch described both successful play and problems including crashes, glitches, and frame-rate drops. These are individual user reports from different configurations, not a controlled compatibility survey. Read the community discussion.
What “running” does—and does not—mean
A game reaching gameplay in one setup is not the same as working consistently for other players. The launch-era evidence supports the limited conclusion that Brothership ran in some reported emulator configurations. It does not show that it works on every emulator, that it is fully playable from beginning to end, or that the same results hold across hardware and emulator builds.
#1 Best Overall
The benchmark’s “4K 120 FPS” framing is the creator’s claim for the disclosed configuration, not an independently verified performance statistic. The available reports do not establish a comparable test across emulators or systems.
How to assess a compatibility report
When comparing reports, check whether they identify the emulator and version, operating system and hardware, graphics backend and CPU settings, and the game’s version. Also look at what “works” means in the report: booting, reaching a particular gameplay section, playing without a reported crash, or completing the game. The launch-era posts do not provide controlled comparisons across all of these factors.

Official platform and game updates
Nintendo lists Mario & Luigi: Brothership as Nintendo Switch software, released November 7, 2024, with physical and digital editions and TV, tabletop, and handheld modes. It is listed as single-system, one-player software. The game takes Mario and Luigi through Concordia, a world divided into islands, with exploration, Luigi Logic, Bros. Moves, and turn-based Bros. Attacks. Nintendo lists the game file size as 10 GB. Nintendo’s official game listing.
Nintendo’s support page records version 1.0.1 as released February 18, 2025, including fixes for gameplay bugs, some of which could block progression. That update information is not an emulator compatibility statement. Nintendo’s update notes.
