Magic: The Gathering is set to have at least 24 Commander decks across its six 2027 sets, according to a Mark Rosewater reply reproduced in a Reddit post linking to his Blogatog account. The wording sets a minimum—not a confirmed exact total—and does not name any of the decks.
What Rosewater reportedly confirmed
The Reddit post reproduces a reply attributed to Mark Rosewater: “I’m not sure what was said at MagicCon Amsterdam, but I can confirm that all six sets of 2027 will have at least four Commander decks.” The post links to the original Blogatog exchange, but that Tumblr page was not independently accessible for inspection. Read the statement as reported by the Reddit post, rather than as a directly verified quotation from the original page. See the Reddit post reproducing the exchange.

Why the total is at least 24, not exactly 24
The arithmetic is six sets multiplied by a minimum of four Commander decks per set: that gives a floor of 24. Because the reproduced statement says “at least four,” the final count could be higher. A separate Popverse report described the 2027 slate as having 24 Commander decks, but its exact-total framing should be treated cautiously against Rosewater’s reported minimum wording. What players should not assume yet
The reported confirmation establishes the number of Commander decks per set only as a minimum. It does not establish the deck names, themes, color identities, cards, prices, preorder timing, or availability. No specific 2027 deck is identified as available for purchase. For now, players can treat the lineup as a minimum of four Commander decks attached to each of six sets, and wait for product-specific announcements before making buying plans.
