Rockstar describes GTA V as taking place in Los Santos and the surrounding hills, countryside, and beaches. Its official GTA VI material describes modern-day Vice City and the state of Leonida. Those are distinct settings, so changing GTA V’s look or behavior should be described as GTA VI-inspired only when the specific changes are known—not as proof that its world has become GTA VI.

What is confirmed about GTA VI’s release and platforms?
Rockstar’s November 6, 2025 announcement says GTA VI will release on November 19, 2026. As of October 13, 2026, that date is still in the future. Rockstar’s support page, last updated August 18, 2026, lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The available official platform information does not list a PC version.
Which GTA V PC editions does Rockstar identify?
Rockstar’s PC upgrade announcement names GTAV Enhanced and GTAV Legacy. The upgrade was announced as free to existing PC owners, and Rockstar said the existing PC version, renamed GTAV Legacy, would continue to be supported.
