Markiplier posted a video titled “Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5,” but the available evidence does not establish that he has permanently quit the series. A headline-matching report says he would skip Chapter 6 “for the foreseeable future”; without a verified video transcript or direct confirmation, that should be treated as a reported reaction, not a settled long-term decision.
What is confirmed about Markiplier’s Chapter 5 reaction?
ThumbnailUp’s channel index lists a Markiplier video titled “Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5” with a runtime of 5:16:22. The index showed 7.7 million views and 240,000 likes when accessed on October 8, 2026; those are third-party snapshot figures, not a live or independently verified count. View the ThumbnailUp listing.
A secondary article says Markiplier was swearing off Chapter 6 “for the foreseeable future.” That wording describes an apparent intention, not proof that he has permanently left the franchise. The article’s displayed publication date also conflicts with Chapter 5’s 2026 release chronology, so it should not be relied on for the timeline. Read the report making the claim.
Why the claim that he quit for good needs qualification
The central distinction is between a negative reaction or a stated plan to skip the next chapter and a permanent decision about every future game. The indexed video listing confirms that Markiplier made a long Chapter 5 video, but it does not establish what he said about continuing, and no transcript or primary video account of his decision is available here. Without the exact statement and its context, “for good” goes further than the evidence supports.

There is also no verified follow-up establishing whether he later changed his mind or actually skipped another installment. The strongest defensible description is that a secondary report characterized his reaction as a decision to avoid Chapter 6 for the foreseeable future—not that he has definitively ended his involvement with the series.
