Thor’s costume was the free event-pass reward; Luna Snow and The Thing were premium-pass rewards; Psylocke and Loki were limited-time store bundles. The event ended on August 15, 2025, and a later 2026 swimsuit collection does not confirm that these five have returned.

How the original Summer Special unlocks worked
Thor: Worthy Waves was the free pass costume
Players originally earned Thor’s Worthy Waves by gaining XP and leveling up the free Summer Special event pass. The official July 15, 2025 patch notes said players could “Battle to earn XP and level up to unlock FREE rewards, including the new Thor – Worthy Waves costume!”
Luna Snow and The Thing: Premium Edition rewards
Cool Summer for Luna Snow and Sunshine Thing for The Thing were rewards for the Summer Special Premium Edition. The announcement described upgrading as providing “permanent access” to the pass, but it does not establish that the Premium Edition can still be purchased now.

Are the 2025 Summer Party swimsuit costumes still available?
The original 2025 event and its stated bundle window have ended. The available official information does not confirm a return of Psylocke’s Breezy Butterfly, Loki’s Robe of Relaxation, Thor’s Worthy Waves, Luna Snow’s Cool Summer, or The Thing’s Sunshine Thing.
Marvel Rivals’ September 2026 patch notes describe store departures for a separate 2026 Swimsuit Special lineup. Wave 1 was scheduled to leave after October 16, 2026 at 02:00 UTC; Wave 2 was scheduled to leave after November 20, 2026 at 02:00 UTC. Those notices concern the 2026 costumes, not the five from 2025.
The separate 2026 store-departure lineups
| Wave | Costumes listed in the official notes | Scheduled departure |
|---|---|---|
| Wave 1 | Emma Frost — White Wave Queen; Doctor Strange — Nautical Mystic; Daredevil — Sonar Savior; Black Widow — Aquatic Assassin; Captain America — Seaside Sentinel; Lady Loki — Seaside Siren; White Fox — Coastal Kumiho | After October 16, 2026 at 02:00 UTC |
| Wave 2 | Magik — Soul Surfer; Scarlet Witch — Seaside Sorceress; Storm — Sacred Skies | After November 20, 2026 at 02:00 UTC |
These dates and names are from the Marvel Rivals Version 20260924 patch notes. A store departure notice for this later lineup is not evidence that the 2025 costumes are back.

No. Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes & Rivals #1 is a related comic, not an in-game unlock method. Its swimsuit designs were previewed in the comic context and later appeared as Marvel Rivals costumes; owning the comic does not grant those game cosmetics. See Marvel’s comic reference for the related title.
