What were the 33 launch characters?
The official launch materials establish the total and that every hero was available, but their accessible text does not list all 33 names. For the same reason, the launch materials do not support a reliable name-by-name breakdown by role. They group heroes into three roles: Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist.
What did the Season 0 launch include besides heroes?
NetEase described Season 0 as a team-based PvP shooter launch. Alongside the 33 heroes, the announcement listed eight maps for Quick Match and Competitive modes, a Conquest map, and a new Practice Range. These are launch-period details, not a description of the game’s current content lineup.

Is 33 still the current Marvel Rivals roster count?
No. The figure refers specifically to the December 2024 Season 0 launch. The roster grew with later additions; PC Gamer’s secondary roster reference reported 47 characters in its own then-current snapshot. That count is time-sensitive, so it should not be treated as the live roster total.
