There is not enough published mode-specific evidence to name the best characters in Marvel Rivals’ Avengers: Infinity War PvP mode. The official Season 10.5 notes describe a 12-player event built around six duos racing to collect all six Infinity Stones, but they do not list the mode’s selectable heroes or provide character performance data. Any definitive tier list would be guesswork.
How Avengers: Infinity War mode works
Marvel Rivals’ official Season 10.5 notes describe “Path to Doomsday – Avengers: Infinity War” as a 12-player event. Players form six duo squads, and two squads face one another in each round. The objective is to collect all six Infinity Stones before the opposing duo.

The event is scheduled to run from October 9, 2026, at 09:00 UTC, through December 11, 2026, at 09:00 UTC. The Season 10.5 update itself begins at the same time on October 9; the notes estimate two hours of maintenance for that update. The event window and maintenance estimate are separate details, and the latter is not a promise that every player will be able to enter at exactly 09:00 UTC.
Can we name the best characters yet?
No—not from the official information available in the reviewed materials. The patch notes explain the format and win condition, but do not identify which characters can be selected in this mode or how any character performs in it. That leaves a basic prerequisite for a recommendation unanswered: whether a proposed pick is eligible at all.

The official Hero Hot List has pick-rate and win-rate fields for Quickplay and Competitive, but the reviewed page does not show Infinity War mode figures. Its displayed update time is 24/12/30, so it cannot support a current ranking for this newly scheduled event. Those figures should not be treated as a substitute for mode-specific results.
Accordingly, there is no evidence-backed character tier list here, and no basis for calling any named hero the strongest, safest, or most effective choice. The official materials reviewed also do not establish that a particular character—including Loki—is playable in this mode.

What to look for when choosing a duo
Once the in-game event roster is confirmed, the published objective suggests useful questions for comparing eligible characters. These are evaluation criteria inferred from the rules, not official character ratings or tested recommendations.

A duo should consider its combined approach rather than choosing two characters in isolation.
- Stone collection: How does the pick help your pair pursue the objective and make progress toward collecting stones?
- Stone contesting: Can the pick help your pair challenge the opposing duo when both are competing for the objective?
- Round performance: Does the character contribute to the head-to-head task that decides each round, rather than merely feeling strong in a different mode?
For a reliable comparison, record the event roster, game build or patch, platform, approximate number of matches, and how each pick performed with a partner in the stone objective. Keep personal match observations separate from verified rules, and avoid generalizing a few games into a universal ranking.

In a March 16, 2026 interview with D23, Marvel Games executive producer Danny Koo said Path to Doomsday would revisit scenes from The Avengers, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, with Loki connecting the events. That is context for the broader event, not evidence that Loki is selectable or especially effective in this PvP mode.
The Season 10.5 notes also mention an Infinity Gauntlet accessory and Infinity War-inspired costumes. Those are in-game content, not indications of character strength or mode eligibility.

Use the confirmed in-game roster and the duo stone objective to make a choice, but treat any character ranking as unverified unless it is based on actual mode-specific play or published mode-specific data. The official information currently establishes the format, objective, and event dates—not the best characters.
