Blade joined Marvel Rivals on August 8, 2025, with Season 3.5. He is a Duelist who switches between a close-range sword and a shotgun, using a defensive window, a healing trade-off and a forward dash to create openings. His official page lists 350 health and 6 m/s movement speed, but those are published 2025 values—not confirmed October 2026 live stats. The latest located official Blade Team-Up note names Captain America; Moon Knight references are historical after the Season 9 Team-Up revamp.

When did Blade come out in Marvel Rivals?

Blade launched on August 8, 2025, as part of Season 3.5. The update began at 09:00 UTC, according to the official Season 3.5 patch notes. His official hero page identifies him as Eric Brooks, a Duelist.

What are Blade’s published stats?

The official Blade page, dated August 8, 2025, lists the following parameters. Treat them as that page’s published baseline, not a guarantee of his live October 2026 values: Season 9 introduced a major Team-Up revamp and a broad hero balance pass, and the character page may retain older labels. Check the in-game hero details for current values.

Stat or ability Published value
Health 350
Movement speed 6 m/s
Ancestral Sword 26 damage for a single slash; double strike lists 13 damage per hit and a maximum distance of 5 m
Hunter’s Shotgun 45 initial projectile damage; 11 shrapnel pieces at 8 damage per hit. Falloff begins at 15 m and reaches 50% at 30 m.
Scarlet Shroud 80% damage reduction in the description; 1-second Unstoppable duration after activation
Bloodline Awakening 70% lifesteal, 25% self-healing reduction and a 1.5 m/s movement boost
Daywalker Dash 15 m dash; parameter table lists a 40% slow for 1.5 seconds. The effect depends on the equipped weapon.
Thousand-Fold Slash 2,800 energy cost; 100 direct-hit damage and 225 damage per second in its slashing field

These are character-page parameters published by Marvel Rivals / NetEase, not independent measurements. A July 6, 2026 balance update and the Season 9 changes make the date especially relevant; confirm numeric values in-game before relying on them as current.

How Blade’s abilities work

Switch between sword pressure and shotgun range

Ancestral Sword is his close-range melee option. Hunter’s Shotgun fires a straight projectile that breaks into shrapnel farther out. The page’s description supports a practical distinction: use the gun when maintaining some distance or setting up the dash’s slow option, and the sword when you can apply close pressure. That is an interpretation of the documented kit, not a claim about tested performance.

Use Scarlet Shroud before committing

Scarlet Shroud gives Blade a brief frontal defensive or parry window. The page says it reduces incoming damage and can help accelerate Daywalker Dash availability. Using that window before dashing is a way to approach with protection rather than spending the dash first and entering danger without it.

Build momentum with Bloodline Awakening

Bloodline Awakening rewards continued hits with attack-speed stacks and lifesteal, but reduces healing Blade receives. Its trade-off is offensive momentum for reduced outside healing; the published page’s numeric parameters are in the table above.

Choose the dash effect by weapon

Daywalker Dash closes distance, with control or healing-reduction effects described as depending on the weapon equipped. The page lists a slow parameter, but does not make every dash effect identical across weapon states. Check the in-game ability details for the current weapon-specific behavior.

Turn the ultimate into a zone threat

Thousand-Fold Slash is a charged forward strike that leaves a slashing zone. The official description says enemies hit have their healing reduced, while the zone deals damage over time. Its listed energy cost and damage figures are in the table.

Who does Blade team up with?

The latest located Blade-specific official balance note, dated September 8, 2026, concerns Captain America. It says selecting Blade’s Team-Up with Captain America grants two additional maximum Bloodline Awakening stacks; the enhanced effect raises the extra maximum from two to four. This describes the official evidence in that dated note, rather than guaranteeing the live lineup has not changed since.

Moon Knight is a historical pairing, not a safe assumption for the current lineup. A November 2025 balance post described Blade of Khonshu, through which Blade gained Eclipse Edge, and also recorded the removal of the earlier Lunar Force Team-Up. The July 2026 Season 9 notes announced a ground-up Team-Up system revamp. For the active roster, verify the Team-Up shown in-game.

What to keep in mind when using this guide

  • Blade’s release date and Duelist identity are established by official materials.
  • His published 2025 page values are useful reference points, but do not treat them as confirmed October 2026 numbers.
  • His documented kit revolves around choosing sword or shotgun, timing a defensive window, then using a weapon-dependent dash.
  • Team-Up details are particularly time-sensitive: the September 2026 note supports Captain America, while Moon Knight references belong to the pre-revamp history.
