Marvel’s hero page identifies Jeff as a Strategist, with 250 health and 6 m/s movement speed. His kit combines sustained healing, burst pressure, ally boosts and an unusual area-control ultimate. Think of him as a support who can contribute damage and disruption, but whose strongest plays depend on positioning and timing. A practical priority is to keep allies in range of Joyful Splash, place Healing Bubbles where teammates can collect them, and save Hide and Seek for a needed escape or reposition. Use Aqua Burst to add burst damage or disrupt an enemy. Consider It’s Jeff! only when the group’s destination and ejection direction work for your team.
Jeff’s abilities and how to use them
Joyful Splash: sustain allies while adding pressure
Joyful Splash is Jeff’s rapid-fire primary attack. It heals allies and damages enemies, making it his main way to contribute while staying with the team. The official page displays 140 healing per second, 70 damage per second and 100 ammo. Damage falloff begins at 15 m and reaches a maximum 60% falloff at 30 m. These are the page’s retrieved values, not a guarantee that they remain unchanged after a patch.

Use it to keep nearby teammates healthy, then direct it at enemies when no ally needs immediate attention. Its damage falloff makes close-to-midrange positioning more useful for pressure than trying to poke from far away.
Aqua Burst: burst damage and a launch
Aqua Burst fires a water sphere that bursts on impact. The page displays 30 projectile damage per round plus 45 spell-field damage per cast. Jeff holds three charges, with one charge recharging every three seconds. A direct hit can launch an enemy upward, so the ability offers disruption as well as damage.
Use it when an enemy is exposed or when a launch can interrupt their position. It fills a different role from Joyful Splash: a burst option with a useful hit effect rather than sustained healing or fire.

Healing Bubble: give an ally a pickup and a boost
Healing Bubble creates a pickup an ally can collect. Marvel says it heals the collector, increases healing and movement, and launches nearby enemies. The displayed effects are 30 healing per second, a 15% healing boost and a 60% movement boost for four seconds. Jeff has three charges, with one recharging every six seconds.
Place bubbles where a teammate can reasonably reach them, especially when that ally needs both healing and movement. Their value depends on a teammate collecting them; a bubble left out of reach does not provide that boost.
Hide and Seek: survive or change position
Jeff dives with only his dorsal fin exposed. While submerged, he gains a movement boost, heals over time, can wall crawl and becomes Unstoppable; his hitbox is also reduced. The page displays a 60% movement boost and 35 healing per second.

Use Hide and Seek to escape danger or take a better route back to your team. The fin remains visible, so opponents may still spot where Jeff is moving. It is a repositioning tool, not invisibility.

It’s Jeff! targets an area and swallows nearby allies and enemies. During the effect, swallowed allies receive healing and Hide and Seek, while enemies take damage. Jeff then ejects swallowed heroes forward. Activating the ultimate also leaves an 8 m healing pool that lasts eight seconds. The official page displays a 10 m radius, a six-second duration, 225 healing per second and 25 damage per second during the effect.
Judge the ultimate by the whole sequence, not just the number of enemies caught. Swallowed teammates are moved along with opponents, and everyone is ejected forward. Before activating, consider where Jeff will end the effect and what lies in front of him: a well-placed cast can heal allies, damage enemies and reposition the group, while a poor destination can put teammates in danger or carry them away from useful ground. It is not automatically a solo-elimination button.

Oblivious Cuteness: reduced critical-hit damage
Jeff’s passive, Oblivious Cuteness, reduces critical-hit damage by 50% according to the official page. It helps against critical hits but does not make him immune to focused attacks.

Timing It’s Jeff! without putting allies at risk
- Check the destination. Consider where Jeff will be when the effect ends and whether the forward ejection sends the group toward useful ground.
- Account for teammates. The ultimate can swallow allies as well as enemies. Avoid treating a large enemy catch as a good cast if it carries your own team into danger or away from the fight.
- Look for combined value. A strong cast can provide ally healing and movement, enemy damage, a healing pool and a useful reposition. The number swallowed is only one part of the outcome.
Team-ups and choosing allies
Marvel’s hero page lists Jeff’s Team-Ups as It’s Jeff-Nado! with Storm, Guardian of the Deep with Venom, New Friends involving Groot, and Jeff’s Cuddle Buddy with Deadpool. For It’s Jeff-Nado!, the page says Storm can combine with Jeff when she activates Omega Hurricane while Jeff’s ultimate is ready.

Team-Up abilities can change. Check the live game’s current team-up list and prompts before building a team around a particular interaction; the listed combinations should not be assumed to remain available after a balance update.
What the available win rates say—and do not say
A Rivals Master hot-list snapshot attributed to an official update dated October 6, 2026, reports Jeff at a 48.01% Quick Play win rate and 9.89% Quick Play pick rate on PC. In Competitive across all ranks, it reports a 47.70% win rate and 6.49% pick rate; its listed Competitive win rates range from 45.66% in Bronze to 50.46% at Celestial and above. These are attributed aggregator figures for PC, not predictions for an individual match. The official hot-list page displayed a December 30, 2024 update time when checked, so the October 6 attribution could not be independently confirmed there. Rivals Master’s hero hot list
Keep kit and balance details current
Jeff’s ability values and Team-Ups are patch-sensitive. Marvel’s balance-post index displayed an October 9, 2026 entry, which is after the October 8, 2026 cutoff for the figures and details above; that entry should not be treated as already live at that cutoff.
