Marvel Rivals’ patch-notes artwork appeared to tease Rogue and Gambit in November 2025: fans identified the X-Men characters in the background image, and PC Gamer reported the sighting on November 6. The image was a visual clue, not by itself a formal character announcement. Later official notes listed Rogue and Gambit cosmetics, but those updates do not change what the original artwork established.
What the patch-notes artwork showed
On November 5–6, 2025, a social post drew attention to figures in the background of the hero image associated with Marvel Rivals’ latest patch-notes page. PC Gamer reported on November 6 that Rogue and Gambit had been spotted there. Both are X-Men characters.
The identification was based on the image. A social post embedded in PC Gamer’s coverage described them as new heroes coming in Season 5, but that was the post’s claim—not a named developer’s statement, and not information established by the artwork alone. The original official patch-notes page and image are not available in the sources for this story, so the sighting is best described as a reported teaser rather than a confirmed announcement at the time. What later official notes confirmed
Subsequent Marvel Rivals notes documented Rogue and Gambit in connection with cosmetics. That later material establishes their presence in the game’s content, but it should not be read backward as proof that the November artwork itself announced their release details.

The Mr. & Mrs. X event
Separate February 2026 notes described a wedding storyline for Rogue and Gambit and a limited-time “Wedding Wishes for Mr. & Mrs. X” lucky draw for their costumes. Marvel Rivals said the full reward pool could cost 100 to 3,000 Units depending on luck. That range applied to completing that historical event’s reward pool; it is not a current price or a general cost for the characters. February 2026 event notes

- At the time: the November 2025 image prompted fans and PC Gamer to identify Rogue and Gambit in the background.
- Not established by the image alone: a formal developer announcement, a confirmed launch date, or the full details of their Season 5 status.
- In later official updates: the game listed Rogue and Gambit cosmetic bundles and subsequently added their MVP cosmetics.
Marvel Rivals’ official site describes the game as free to play, with heroes unlocked and free. The Rogue and Gambit items covered by the cited later notes are cosmetics and event rewards, not paid hero unlocks. Platform availability listed by the official site includes PlayStation, Windows, and Xbox. Marvel Rivals official site
