Marvel Rivals launched worldwide at 00:00 UTC on December 6, 2024. That same moment was 7 p.m. EST and 4 p.m. PST on December 5, according to the official launch announcement. The different dates reflect time zones, not separate regional unlocks.
What time did Marvel Rivals release?
The official Marvel Rivals global-launch announcement gave the unlock as midnight UTC on December 6, 2024. It also listed the corresponding North American times as 7 p.m. EST and 4 p.m. PST on December 5.
| Time zone | Launch time |
|---|---|
| UTC | 00:00, December 6, 2024 |
| US Eastern (EST) | 7 p.m., December 5, 2024 |
| US Pacific (PST) | 4 p.m., December 5, 2024 |
If you were checking a local clock elsewhere, use 00:00 UTC on December 6 as the reference moment and convert it to your time zone. The announcement’s listed US conversions are publisher-provided; it does not give a complete table of local times for every country.
Why do some announcements say December 5 and others December 6?
The launch was a single worldwide moment. Midnight on December 6 in UTC fell on the evening of December 5 in the US time zones named by the publisher. The initial August 21 launch-date announcement established December 6 as the release date, while the later announcement supplied the precise time and US conversions. NetEase subsequently said the game was live around the world on December 6.
