Marvel Rivals’ first season, Eternal Night Falls, began January 10, 2025, and brought the Fantastic Four into the game as playable heroes. Although the headline refers to “leaked art,” the official announcements confirm a planned reveal and character addition—not the origin or authenticity of any earlier leak.
What was announced for Marvel Rivals Season 1?
NetEase Games and Marvel Games announced Eternal Night Falls in January 2025. Their announcement said the season would launch January 10 at 1 AM Pacific and introduce the Fantastic Four as playable heroes. The official season announcement is the clearest source for the date and the planned addition.
Marvel Rivals is a team-based PvP shooter. The announcement listed Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, the Epic Games Store, and the game’s official website among its availability points.
Which Fantastic Four characters were named?
Marvel Rivals’ official reveal page specifically named Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman for January 10. The broader season announcement said the Fantastic Four would join as playable heroes, but the reveal page’s two-character announcement alone does not establish that all four members launched at the same time.

What does “leaked art” refer to?
A January 2, 2025 ComicBook.com report described an official first look at the Fantastic Four ahead of their addition. The official materials confirm the reveal and the planned playable characters; they do not establish who first posted any earlier artwork, where it came from, or whether it was authentic. On the available evidence, it is more accurate to describe this as an official first look than to state that the art was confirmed leaked.
How did the season’s story frame the heroes’ arrival?
The official reveal tied the Fantastic Four’s arrival to a fight against mystical darkness and Dracula. That premise supplied the season’s supernatural framing; it is distinct from the announcement that the characters would be playable.
