The events and dates below are historical; the cited announcements do not confirm that Season 2 rewards can still be claimed.
What was Marvel Rivals Season 2?
NetEase presented Season 2 as a major game update bringing new heroes, maps, team-up changes and ranked adjustments. The official overview was published April 4, 2025, and said the season would begin April 11 UTC. The team’s invitation was: “Dive into Season 2 on April 11th UTC for epic battles and nonstop fun!”
The April 8 launch patch planned maintenance for April 11 and listed Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It also stated that all heroes were unlocked and free to play at launch and beyond.
What arrived at launch?
Emma Frost and the Krakoa map
Emma Frost made her debut with the season. The new Hellfire Gala: Krakoa map joined the Domination mode rotation. In the story setup, set in 2099, Emma hosts a gala on Krakoa when Ultron attacks with robots; the Quiet Council must repel the invaders and protect the guests.

Ranked and competitive changes
The season also changed ranked play. Players’ starting rank was adjusted through a nine-division demotion based on their final rank from the previous season. Krakoa entered the competitive map pool, while Yggsgard: Royal Palace and Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya left it.

How did Season 2 continue in the mid-season update?
The May 30, 2025 Version 20250530 update began Season 2.5. It introduced Ultron as a playable hero and Hellfire Gala: Arakko, a Convoy map. The story continued with X-Tron escaping to Arakko after the events on Krakoa. A second Cerebro Database event offered Hawkeye – Binary Arrow, with the announced event period running May 30 to June 27, 2025 UTC.
The rollout therefore moved from Emma Frost and a Domination map at launch to Ultron and a Convoy map at mid-season. The official notes document game-content counts and event dates, but do not provide an independent statistic about the season’s reception or performance.
When were the Hellfire Gala events and rewards available?
NetEase’s April 30 event patch announced Hellfire Gala: Moments, offering Wolverine’s “Patch” series costume rewards for free. The original event window was May 2–23, 2025 UTC. The May 22 patch extended the end date to May 30, 2025 UTC.
These dates have passed. The cited announcements establish when the events were scheduled, but do not establish whether those costumes or other Season 2 rewards are currently obtainable. Check the game’s current in-client event and store listings for present availability rather than assuming a past event reward has returned.
