Marvel Rivals Season 4 is old news: it launched on 12 September 2025. The official update introduced Angela and two new Arcade modes, Conquest (Annihilation) and Free Fight. Those are confirmed Season 4 additions; leak claims about a Maveth map and an Infinity Crisis mode were not confirmed in the official patch notes.

When did Season 4 launch?

NetEase Games published the official Season 4 patch notes on 4 September 2025. They say the update began on 12 September 2025 at 09:00 UTC. Season 4 is therefore a historical update, not an upcoming release or current leak cycle.

The distinction matters because leak videos and community speculation can circulate alongside confirmed announcements. The official notes are the clearest record of what the update actually brought to the game.

Which new hero was confirmed?

Angela

The official patch notes named Angela as Season 4’s new hero, introducing her with the line: “Angela descends to Marvel Rivals. Prepare to unleash Asgardian might!” This is a confirmed addition, not merely a leak prediction.

What new game modes arrived?

Conquest (Annihilation)

In this Arcade mode, players earn one point for each enemy defeated. The first player to reach 50 points wins.

Free Fight

Free Fight uses Quick Match rules but removes the duplicate-hero restriction. Each team can also ban two heroes.

Other Arcade changes

Season 4 brought back Clone Rumble and added Giant-Size Brain Blast to the Arcade Mode Hub. The patch notes said the listed Arcade modes would be permanent, rather than temporary events.

What other features did Season 4 add?

Squad voice chat

The update added an option to limit voice communication to a premade squad or extend it to the whole team.

Costume rotation

Costume rotation was also listed among the Season 4 additions. The patch notes present it as a feature of the update, alongside the new social and Arcade content.

Were the Maveth map and Infinity Crisis mode confirmed?

No official confirmation of either claim appears in the reviewed Season 4 patch notes. A YouTube result titled “Marvel Rivals Season 4 LEAKED! New Maveth Map & Infinity Crisis Mode Coming September 12” circulated those claims, but it is secondary leak coverage, not an official announcement. Community speculation is not confirmation either.

Because the broad headline does not identify a particular leaker or rumor, it is not possible to establish the origin or accuracy of every Season 4 claim. The reliable way to separate rumor from release is to check it against the official update notes: they document Angela, Conquest (Annihilation), Free Fight, returning Arcade content, squad voice chat and costume rotation.

Is Season 4 still current?

No. Marvel Rivals’ official homepage showed Season 10 and Season 10.5 announcements by 8 October 2026. The Season 10 update began on 11 September 2026, according to its official patch notes.

There was one later Season 4 callback: the “Fruit of Immortality” battle pass returned for a limited run from 11 September 2026 at 09:00 UTC until 24 September 2026 at 09:00 UTC. That rerun had ended by 8 October 2026; it did not make Season 4 the current season again.

What is the confirmed Season 4 picture?

  • Confirmed hero: Angela.
  • New Arcade modes: Conquest (Annihilation) and Free Fight.
  • Additional Arcade content: Clone Rumble returned, Giant-Size Brain Blast was added, and the listed modes were made permanent.
  • Other update features: squad voice chat and costume rotation.
  • Unconfirmed in the official Season 4 notes: the Maveth map and Infinity Crisis mode claims.
